the Mets are just playing games with everyone. I honestly believe they're trying to lowball and hoping some team comes running to them at the end.

Hypothetical question. If you were a GM for a team, lets say the Mets and you look into a crystal ball and you are guarantee to win the world series this year, but you have to give up all of your top prospects and 2 of the 3 (Matz, Harvey, Syndergaard) in the majors. Would you guys bite? Keep in mind, you would still have a good team afterwards still probably, but have bloated contracts like a Hamels, Shields, Tulowitzki etc.. making 20+ mill towards the wrong side of 30.

Haren is better than what we had goin for that 5th starter spot and we gave up no one of real value. Minor move. Theres still a chance we strike a deal with the Padres, but i doubt it.

At least you stay true to your team even when they were basura

I remember during that run so many struggle fans hopped on... dudes on campus couldn't even name a pitcher.... girls just knew bout Kinsler cuz of his looks

One of the select teams I played for in HS wore Rangers hats....

So I bought a blue Astros hat   :pimp:

Isn't Ces a free agent after this season? So he doesn't cost more. Either way, Mets need to get Ces bad as ****. That's the best move.

The #Tigers real close to moving Cespedes. The #whitesox involved but not the favorite

The #Whitesox were aggressive, but fell short, and now out of #Tigers Cespedes sweepstakes

One rival executive believes that Cespedes is going to the #Mets

Astros said the ship has sailed on Kimbrel

Source on Astros’ pursuit of Craig Kimbrel: “that ship has sailed"
Saw that, but Drellich is a tool for any relevant info. Astros have pretty much shut him out

McGee or Chapman would be awesome for us. Would love to add a left-handed RP. Sipp is our only one and he's having a down year
