I played basketball with Carpenter right before spring training. I'm going to assume that's why he hit that homer lol

That loss is 100% on Matt Williams. There isn't much that needs to be said. Zimmerman was unhittable ALL night long and you don't even give him the chance to get a CG? And not for nothing, the last time Storen pitched in the postseason was when he had that crazy meltdown and you put him in THAT situation? Jeez....homie gonna end up like BK Kim at this rate. But seriously, I feel for the guys in that locker room. They should have had the win, but incompetence by the manager...and thinking that he's smarter than he actually is, did the team in. Series should be 1-1. A real uphill battle from here on out, but anything can happen in playoff baseball.

:smh: @ Nats "fans" at the game last night. SOOOOOOOO many empty seats, and that was WELL before the 18th. DC is a bandwagon city and doesn't give two ***** about baseball. There are some diehard fans, but this should be a topic on the radio come Monday morning.

Not over yet. Doug Fister is gonna have to come up HUGE.

:smh: I hate DC sports, all of the teams are choke artists.

I blame Matt Williams.

It ain't "over" but I feel like it is :smh:

I complained about him the first half of the season but chilled on it. Now he pulled that dumb **** last night

Yall are all mad at Williams, you should be mad at the stupid hitters who can't score a run. 1 run in 18 innings? Yea that's williams' fault

I blame everyone. Offense was horrific with RISP. Wilson Ramos looked terrible, as did Ian Desmond for a second straight night. Apparently Desmond is stressed out about his wife who is about to have their third kid. Some reports are saying he might miss a game for the birth of the kid. Espinosa at SS is a defensive improvement from Desmond, but his bat is a black hole in the lineup...then again Desmond's been a black hole too so far. Span needs to get on early. Fister needs to shove.

****, now I'm just babbling/ranting. Giants are an unreal postseason team.

Another thing...Storen is not so good with inherited runners. Makes Williams' decision all the more baffling.

DC will always be a football town but correct me if I'm wrong, didn't most of that city stick with the O's even when the Nats joined the league? I always thought most of die hard DC sports fans were with the O's while the casuals jumped on the Nats bandwagon. Especially during the Straus hype...

Most of the Nats fan base is in VA, it'll take sometime to create a solid fan base, but almost 10 years in and it's getting larger each year. They just need to learn how to be baseball fans.

DC is also a transient city. Which is part of the reason why it's going to be hard for the Nats to have a true die-hard fanbase. I mean, going to games, you'll always have a large contingent of opposing fans.

This is just pathetic:

Nats fanbase is getting larger, but it has a long way to go.

Congrats to the Orioles.

Wonder if the Royals can close it out tonight to set up one of the more unlikely ALCS?
