i wouldnt worry about Lester. lefties have longer careers and he hasn't had any arm trauma or pitches in a way that'll say age won't be favorable to him. his left on base percentage is only going to increase from 60% to his career average of 74%. his zone contact rate is down but he's been hit outside of the zone more than usually. just seems like he needs to make adjustments and find a rhythm more than anything.

Lefties :pimp:

I pitched up till 7th grade based off that alone...and I threw slow junk

JRS, have you listened to Dave Cameron fan graphs podcast from yesterday?

Listening to it now while sitting in traffic :x

CP's head would explode if he listens to what they said about Bryant staying in the minors

I heard it, and like I said to you, they just runnin off at the mouth. I kinda doubt Theo went into the lockeroom and broke Olt's arm, nor did he injure La Stella, so his hand was forced.

4/20 was the target date, Cubs beat writers/bloggers/fans had that date circled for months. But injuries dictated earlier, by 3 days.

Alcantara, Baez, Soler, and now Russell, all on the road.

Theo's Red Sox kids, debut on the road.

If Olt doesn't get hurt, yesterday woulda been Bryant's first game. No biggie.

I pretty much think Lester is what Andy Pettitte was... Healthy, and reliable during the season, but not quite #1 starter... More of a #1.5... But in the post season, completely lights out...

That's exactly what they envision, because in reality, Arrieta is the best pitcher on the staff. Not really close either. Arrieta is disgusting on the hill. :smh:

And when they add another Ace, Lester can be the #1, #2, or #3, it don't matter, they're all interchangeable.

Bottom line, they'd have to stay healthy.

i like that pettite comparison. blue collar guy that gets the job done when it matters for the most part.

herrera suspended 5 games? that's fair and deserved.

jewbacca listened to the podcast, good stuff. fangraphs podcast is really solid.

actually wouldn't mind the mets or cubs winning it all. as long as it doesn't happen to be against my team, of course

Are they bad? I honestly haven't noticed. (I have a few Red Sox fan friends tho, so maybe I don't notice the over the topness)
