Yankees need to give him his bonus

I wonder how good ARod would have to be to get mvp. He'd have to hit 310 40+ to even get into top 3 IMO. he'd have to be so much better than everyone else

I hate to be that guy, but Koufax is not one of the top 4 greatest living players. Anyone tried doing the franchise 4 for the Braves? Along with my Giants they have the hardest 4 easily.

Nomar was handedly better than Jeter and Arod until his wrist injury...

ARod hit 38 homers and .358 as a rookie at 20 years old.....you think Nomar was better? ARod would go on to be the only 40/40 shortstop just a few years later. Nomar may have the edge over Jeter (and it doesn't matter because longevity can't be ignored) for a few seasons, there is no argument for him over ARod....plus Fenway is a bandbox.

i don't think he has much of a shot unless he goes on a crazy tear like you said

i want Adam Jones or Altuve to get it

I love Adam Jones. Extremely underrated player who does everything well. His defense was a bit overrated for sometime but that's mostly caught up with the rest of his game. His only problem is he refuses to take walks. If he did the metric community would be head over heels for him like the rest of the baseball world is. Altuve is a stud too. Along with Trout he has to be the funnest guy in baseball to watch. Once Correa gets called up I'll be watching a lot of Houston. Correa, Springer, Altuve, Cris Carter (when he's hot)....that team is going to be a joy. They might turn Houston back into a baseball town.

Don't think I've ever seen anyone call Nomar better than Alex or Derek.
0]  who said that

You know many critics at one point thought Alex might have been the best baseball player of all time. Not even the best SS, just the best baseball player. He was unanimously considered the best SS we've seen this generation since like Honus Wagner or some ****. Saying Nomar was better is a joke and disrespectful to any baseball fan.

As for Derek, he wasn't better. He was on steroids and was hitting the long ball. Doesn't make him better. Nomar was good but he had a short career (due to the juice) breaking down his body.

 better than Alex and Jeter

He's have to hit. 400/40/150... And ever other player in the league would have to contract the Black Death and die...

I admittedly can't say a good word about Arod ... But let's just say Nomar was the better teammate ...

Nomar juiced? Based of what? I guess because the era he played in, but I have a hard time just assuming a guy juiced with no evidence. Which is why I find it ridiculous that Piazza, the greatest offensive catcher ever is not in Cooperstown yet.

There were a few reports of him being on that mitchell report. Guy also got ripped a couple years in, acne and body broke down. I know that doesn't mean much but they said he was on the mitchell report. I still think he's a good player though. It really pisses me off that they never fully released that list and it was only Alex that "officially" got screwed. They said Ortiz, Manny and Nomar were on it. Their careers were fine but Alex was on it and got killed. He should have sued baseball then.

Yea I really wish that Mitchell Report was a bit more transparent. I remember Gary Sheffield was on it too but he by far made the strongest case of any alleged user. I still don't know what to think of that report. I have no idea if Papi actually used, I know Manny did, and I didn't even know Nomar was suspected. I hope he didn't, he seemed like a good dude. Alex got killed because he was destined to be the golden boy. He came up as the most hyped prospect ever and delivered and once Bonds broke the record, he was suppose to one who redeemed the record. It's kind of like if we found out Tom Brady had been cheating all this time.....oh wait

Repped for the Tom Brady shot.

Yeah, Mo Vaughn, David Justice, Sheffield, I think Bagwell might have been leaked on that list. All kinds of players. I don't have a problem with players using during that era, more than half the league was using back then. It was normal. It's ********, everyone's name should be public.

Idk how I feel about juicing. I don't really have a problem with it relative to that era, but it gets so muddy when you try to compare it to other eras. I know players used amphetamines, but those don't help you hit a baseball further. It honestly saddens me, Bonds without anything is a top 3 left fielder ever and you can make an argument for him over Musial and Williams, ARod without anything is probably going to be the best shortstop ever, and now they'll never get the proper recognition that their talents deserve. My biggest problem with roids is the players cheating themselves. Obviously baseball did nothing to stop them, but it's a shame IMO.

Multiple qb's came out and said deflating balls was and is commonplace... It's truly a circus show for the sake of having the NFL be the news headliner...

Bostonians deny and deny like no other fanbase. That yankees bullpen is eating so far this season. ARod just handled that Mays question like a f*cking champ. It's a shame we have to despise him.
