His fastball mph is impressive. His pitching stance is a bit strange. It's amazing that he manages to throw a 98 mph fastball with that kind of pitching stance.

Anyone else see the report that Baez is looking better than Castro and Russell at short? If he can get any type of plate discipline he'll be a star. Syndergard is eating so far and Arrieta isn't going bad either. Both are on my fantasy squad.

The like 3 games he's played there? :lol: :lol:

He was on bereavement for a few weeks, then came back at second, so uh, yeah, I doubt that report.

And I follow multiple, Cub prospect bloggers/writers/fans.

Can you link who is saying that?

I say this all the time but man Matt Carpenter is such a professional hitter. All he does is collect big hits.

Kyle Givson did a nice job tonight limiting the Tigers to just 1 run.

Just turned it on. Will watch.

The reach back and pause with his arm :x

It's not something you would teach anyone, and isn't the optimal arm path to say the least lol

It's really hard to tell in real time, cause a lot of extra torque can be placed on the shoulder/elbow depending on what position the body is in when the front foot hits the ground.

I really like this Pirate lineup man. They can be scary good

Yes. Hitting (for the most part) hasn't been the issue

McCutchen starting to turn it around? :nerd:

Seems like he is finally feeling better

If the Pirates had Chapman, they would legit just be like 2 out from the Cards. The number of one run, ninth inning losses is so frustrating

@brianmctaggart: McHugh line: 4 2/3 innings, 6 hits, 7 runs, 3 earned runs, 2 walks, 3 three strikeouts.

Thor did really well. I like what I see. I really hope Alderson does something about our offense.
