I can't deal with Alex Torres and his stupid hat any longer. Stop using him. Just stop. He's equivalent to the bums that cost us a pennant in 2007 and 2008.

That's the first time I've seen his hat. It looks ridiculous.

For protection from line drives but the John Olerud helmet looks better
Yep. Just read up on it real quick. Apparently he was the next pitcher in line after Cobb got struck by a line drive when he was in TB and it freaked him out, so now he wears the hat with padding. It's available to all pitcher it sounds like. He's just the only one to use it.

The like 3 games he's played there?

He was on bereavement for a few weeks, then came back at second, so uh, yeah, I doubt that report.

And I follow multiple, Cub prospect bloggers/writers/fans.

Can you link who is saying that?

It's only one evaluator in the article that says it.

It's in there somewhere. I liked what I saw from Syndegaard tonight. He's fun to watch. If only mets could've got him some run support.

His scouting report is pretty dead on. Throws flames and strikes out a lot of batters, but can struggle with command. Basically what we saw tonight.

5 IP 2 ER 6 K's 3 BB
His actual line: 5.1 IP 3 ER 6 K's 4 BB

Pretty damn close.

make sense

Sup, hat too big
 :smh:

Mets need to do something with this lineup. Cuddy has been a bust so far but I'll give him the benefit of a doubt. Murphy isn't fielding and isn't hitting so yeah, might be getting close to time to move on from him. Just wish Coupons would spend money intelligently for a change.

I like how he wasn't afraid to throw any pitch in any count. Used his change up 2-0 a couple of times, kid has a bright future as he matures.

i wouldnt even care if he was doing well but he's been awful his past 4 outings.

we need some bats. wish we could get something for montero and gee. we've got some decent bats in the minors, but they're two years away. hence the stop-gap signings.

Olerud was my guy growing up
Used to think him and Molitor were impossible to get out when they were on that '93 Blue Jays teams.

Edit: Just checked out their real numbers from that year and wow...Molitor hit .332 and Olerud .363

Supposedly that was only the 5th home run to leave Dodger Stadium.
