Luhnow brought their algo to Houston. He deserved it.

2 wrongs dont make a right...he probably helped create their scouting system...unwritten rules BS...etc, etc, etc

im a salty dodger fan who wants to see them burn  :\

**** Philly for that ******** they pulled yesterday. They knew that game wasn't going to be played and they burned one of our starters, now Roark is out there getting shelled starting after just being turned back into a reliever :smh:

Yea that was some ***** **** they did

Last time the @Astros played in a game that featured 2 teams 10+ games over .500: Sept. 15, 2008 at Miller Park. HOU (80-68) vs. CHC (89-58)

You'd love to have his 07-09 numbers now that you're in the AL. Never struck out more than 63 times in a season as an Astro.

He was making close to 20 mil a year, was beyond awful in the OF, and couldn't give 2 ***** about baseball

There was a report not too long ago that he would bet on horse races during games

The money at the time just didn't match the production for the most part. He was hated here

1000

With the DH now, and all of the K machines the Astros are trotting out right now, you're telling me you wouldn't want this kind of hitter on your squad? C'mon man. He made $11M,, $12M, and $19M in those three years, idk man, if I'm an AL team I'd take that.

You'd take that

Then he posted a negative 2 war season making right under 20

I'm on my phone and don't want to look it up, but he was basically worthless with 40 or 60 mil left on his deal, right? lol

After the -2 WAR season he posted a 4 WAR season before retiring. I'm not saying I'd take him in the OF, but as a DH he'd be a valuable asset.

I'd obviously take prime Carlos on this Astros team at DH

He just rubbed people the wrong way here

Daz Cameron signs for $4 mil. The messy Aiken situation helped this years draft. Now let's just see how these players work out.

I wasn't paying attention last year, but what are the odds the Astros took Aiken knowing they wouldn't sign him to get this year's pick?

Zero percent chance

You still have to offer a contract at I want to say 80 percent (not sure on the percentage) of the slot value to get that pick next year.

I could be wrong on that, just going from the top of my head

That would be very very very risky.

The only team that would have been able to plan something like that would be the Cubs.

See, this year they'll win 79 or so games. Then they get the 2nd ace on the staff. Then you call the young guys up next year and will 87 games. You sign another power bat, and you win 95+ in 2 years.

Mets fans are drunk and feebleminded today. All the callers into Francesa wanna trade Harvey and deGrom. Asterisks bozos.

I've said it a 1000 times now, the Mets are in a great position with their staff.

Y'all just gotta develope a plan to get some league average bats

I agree I'd only trade fat boy, Niese and Montero.

I'd love to find a way to get Josh Reddick in left field and just bench Cuddyer.
