Jackie Bradley has been hitting well since he started using a leg kick. The MLBn broadcast said he used a leg kick in college, but stopped using it in pro ball.

I'm curious if he did it on his own, or if the sox had him change it.

It's so shocking how coaches in big league organizations can ruin players

agree with everything.

i can't help but think of luis gonzalez without considering ped's. always a good doubles hitter, but out of nowhere in 01, he hits 26 more home runs than he ever did in a single season.

Can't tolerate that slander. He played catch with me a couple times outside my parent's restaurant

Niese looks like he wants to pitch out of the bullpen in October.

They didn't get as children and/or weren't vaccinated??
I believe it. Simplistic explanation is usually correct

Though I do believe other factors were involved, not all PED usage

and you can continue to be wrong.

also pitching being way better is a far more simple and valid explanation than roirds, as it's based on hard facts instead of rumor, innuendo and junk science.

Is pitching really that much better or has the hitting just got worse?

A team 10-15 years ago would never roll out a strikeout prone offensive like the Astros do. We have so many pathetic hitters

I'm open in my opinion and have seen your posts. I just give the PED variable more weight than you do

ahh luis gonzalez argument; random spike in power so steroids must be the reason.

lets ignore the fact that,

a. random spikes in power are not uncommon in baseball players career.

b. He went from a notrious pitchers park to a hitters park in arizona.

c. if he was using steroids and they were THAT effective, WHY DID HE STOP. becuase his homer numers declined right after.

either he stopped (which makes no sesne given how much money is at stake), or he never did them, or he did do them and the effect isn't all that powerful.

Average fastball during Barry Bonds HR king season was 89 MPH.

Now and elite slugger faces almost 93 MPH.

3 MPH difference is massive. Every wack middle reliver throws 95+.

Pitchers now are simply way way better. Not to mention the shifting, which takes away hits form dead pull power hitters.

Tulo leaves ALOT of guys stranded man.

He's legit the Melo of Baseball in terms of name recognition

Tulo is WOAT this season but his numbers are still great for a SS

Didi is high because I don't think Correa and Lindor have enough AB's to qualify.

Yankees getting killed by a scrub, lovely. This is what we needed tonight.

I love this kid Didi.

I quit watching that game when the Astros started, but Porcello looked disgusting
sick.gif

He felt sorry huh. for something was technically not officially against the rules. cmon b
it's possible. everyone knew in 01 the brewing controversy. i just don't believe in a guy doubling his typical home run average in 1 year as having a random surge in power that was unassisted.

maybe he felt guilty after winning a world series on the juice

So I guess you belive Joe Mauer tooks roids, Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarncion, Joe Morgan,

They have steroids in 1960 when Bert Campaneris hit 22 and before or after hit single digits?

I asume we can put Andre Dawson in the steroid user catagory right? with his random 50 homer season?

I could go on and on, the history of baseball is replete with these stories. but people just like to assume roids did it.

Jose Bautista changed his swing. Joe Mauer's body broke down.

Fact is during the era Gonzalez played in, PED use was rampant and more likely than not, involved in a lot of the careers of people during that era. Whether you want to downplay PED use is your prerogative, but if it didn't do anything, guys wouldn't have used them.

Also minute maid park per 2000's park factors was the worst park hitting home runs, Arizona was the 5th best.

but noooo 'roids did it.
