nah i know. and given the market, he deserves more than arod. but he'll make more than arod on that contract, per year at least.

10 years, 300 is nuts
CC Sabathia Lost Weight, But Don't Worry: Joba Chamberlain Found It
The circus is back in town! Just when you thought it might be a quiet Yankees Spring Training, with everyone under contract and saying the right things, here comes Joba, larger than ever.

The Yankees need a starter. They've also made vague reference to certain players not being guaranteed a roster spot. So making the team, or even sliding into the rotation are things we assume Joba wants. Both would require being in better shape than last year.

So...we get this, via Ben Shpigel:
Cashman on Joba: "He's heavier." How much heavier? "He's heavier." Is he out of shape? "He's heavier."

CC Sabathia claims he lost weight by cutting out the Cap'n Crunch. We might recommend a similar step with the Captain Morgan.

So he deserves less than Arod?  The same as Ryan Howard?  2 Mil more than Mauer?

Pujols has every right to ask for what he is asking for.  Maybe not the 10 years, but the $ per year for sure.

It is to be expected that the Yankees would eliminate Minnesota isn't it?

Well, I don't see either of them making the playoffs this year, so maybe next year.
