According to Wiki:

Kemp's nickname is "The Bison." During the second major league game of Kemp's career, on May 29, 2006, he stole second base in the fourth inning, after which Atlanta Braves television announcer Don Sutton said he looked "like a big buffalo running around the bases." The observation was appropriate due to Kemp's imposing size – the Dodgers' roster lists him at 6' 4" tall and 225 pounds – and surprisingly fast foot-speed. The word "buffalo" was modified to "bison", by the commenter D4P on Jon Weisman's popular Dodgers blog, Dodger Thoughts, as it is a more proper term for the North American mammal to which the moniker refers. It wasn't until the next day when the starting lineup did not include Kemp that baseball writer Eric Enders, also commenting in Dodger Thoughts added the capitalized article in front of the animal, completing the nickname, writing "So much for looking forward to watching The Bison tonight."

The nickname is also a play on Kemp's Oklahoma roots. A bison is the state of Oklahoma's official animal.

Marlins situation continues to get better and better.

The Miami Marlins Will Close Their Empty Upper Deck For Weeknight Games
They're still drawing better than the 16-14 Indians, who spent $120 million on free agents, lowered concession prices and have had perfect weather for this entire current nine-game homestand.

Only thing the Astros did was allow you to bring a gallon sized sandwich bag inside the stadium with as much food as you can fit into it

what stadiums allow Bring your Dog to the game? and also who came up with this idea? Is it stadiums that tend to not sell out as much because i dont think philly ever had one of these days.

Its definitely not limited to stadiums that tend to not sell out.  The Giants have a "Dog Days of Summer" game every year.  They have a big parade where the dogs are on the field before the game.  I think it is awesome, granted, I am a huge dog lover.

Yeah man for dog lovers, its a really cool thing they do.

There's no way I could take my two little guys to a game. They don't get along with other people or dogs.

My dog did well the first year but struggled year two and won't go back. Easier to bring a kid

Think we discussed this earlier. So you would trade Profar, Olt, etc. for Giancarlo?
To go with what we have right now? Yeah, I think I would. Giancarlo makes this Rangers team a very legitimate WS threat.

Olt has negative value right now though, as he's been DL'd with vision issues possibly stemming from a concussion suffered in winter ball... He's struck out like 1000 times in 100 ABs this year because he apparently can't see anything.

why are people assuming Stanton has to be traded? I don't get it lol

He is under club control until 2017. He isn't going anywhere.
