Dom Brown is tearing the lid off the baseball.

Yes lawd :x :smokin 8 homers in his last 9, leading the NL in hr plus he's going for the cycle today too. And man is Cliff Lee great as well. Too bad the rest of our team is so inconsistent :smh:

Comments like this really rustle my jimmies.

If this attitude was consistent through baseball, half of the record books would be empty.

In an environment where PED useable was so common, I think it's pretty unfair to just write a player off. PED's obviously give you a greater chance to be a better player, but it doesn't turn everyone into a superstar. The initial talent still has to be there.

Steroid testing in baseball didn't begin till 2004, so anything done before that shouldn't be deemed as "cheating".

Not saying to take away his records. I just can't say "he was on a whole 'nother level of greatness" when we all know why he was on his own level of greatness.

yea cause everybody on PED put up his numbers

you got former pros who won't discredit Bonds even with the suspicion

It's funny because for the longest time I've been mixing him up with Mayberry Jr. and when my friend told me he had Brown on his fantasy team, I pursed my lips and thought to myself "good luck with that bum."

Whoops.

I'm glad we're throwing meatballs to BJ Upton to help him break out of his slump...6.5 games back of the Braves (who aren't playing well themselves) and a game under .500. The good news is we're finally through the toughest part of our schedule. The bad news is that we seem to be taking worse at bats every game. Hopefully some demotions are coming with the off day tomorrow and that Jayson Werth can provide a spark when he comes off the DL on Tuesday. It's sad that it's gotten to the point where I'm hoping that an average player with the worst contract in team history has to provide us with a spark. Harper needs to get healthy.

Giants fans still got that little brother syndrome lol. Reminds me of my Clipper brethren.

Excited to see what Puig can do. Maybe they can groom him to replace Kemp

I could see the Giants as having a little brother syndrome with the Dodgers. Goes hand in hand with SF playing second fiddle to LA. Plus the Dodgers are, without question, one of the most popular teams.

I think Porter could possibly head back to DC after this year when Johnson retires. Managing the Astros can't be fun, he looks miserable in the dugout all the time lol
Still baffles me as to why we let him go. We should've given him a deal where he'd be given the job right after Davey retires.
