jim deshaies says "you can't keep pounding Cody Ransom with fastballs or he'll make you pay". Next pitch, less than 5 seconds later, 96mph turned around for a bomb lol

Deshaies had that Steve Stone call it before it happens moment. Stone does that all the damn time. Predicts pitches, roll overs, fly balls, etc. We never should have clipped him.

On another note, Starlin's slump is killing me. He's not even hitting the ball hard. :smh:

Danny Espinosa's days in DC are done if Rendon keeps swinging the bat like he did today.

To be fair, you brought this on yourself by bringing up Gattis when nobody was talking about him.

Smh... I brought up Gattis as a reference to rookie production in the same game... If the Dodgers were playing someone else with a ROY candidate I would have referenced him too. I wasn't prematurely riding Gattis' **** like kids was doing to Puig. but because ****** refuse to read, it turned into who would have the better career..among other stupid **** ppl been making up and acting like I said.

I SAID Puig wasn't the best rookie in the game (Braves v Dodgers) BECAUSE he's been in the show for less than a week and consistency (Gattis) over MONTHS > a few days. That's it. Again, never said anything about THE FUTURE.

Fans do this **** all the time. Their hot prospect comes up, has some good games and everyone gets all crazy. I get it. Braves fans were the same way with Jason Heyward and Jeff Francouer. I'm not hating on the kid, but if every "next so and so" panned out the entire league would be AS's.

Went to the Jays game today, frustrating as hell having Bautista strike out and then Encarnaicon popping out to end the game with runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out

Damn some dude in the Louisville/Vandy game just blew out his arm...walked off the mound in tears..you could tell he knew it was UCL tear right off the bat. Just goes to show you it could end at any moment.

Wainwright has earned every penny on that extension thus far.
So is Yadi.........This dude is batting .354 right now.. The first half of his career, he looked like he was gonna be a career .250-.75 hitter. Now that Albert is gone, he has turned into a hitting machine!!!!! Warning track power.......but he hits to all fields and doesnt strike out very much at all..........He has REALLY come a looooong way. Cant wait to see the statue of him mid throw right behind STAN "THE MAN"!!!!!!!

Cozart has to be the worst everyday 2-hole hitter in baseball, right?

The Cards, and what they do with risp. :smh:

:smokin:smokin:smokin

.....It was funny the comment that kruk made..........said something like "They are only batting .2xx with nobody on base.......how are they getting people on base? "

It is pretty crazy when you think about it...........hopefully we can keep it up

The Cardinals are a scary team :x :x :smh: I think they might win the whole thing when its said and done.

I saw this asked on the O's message board...

Would you trade Matt Wieters for a top of the rotation pitcher?

I would, but Wieters alone probably won't get you a legit ace in return.

I agree.

He's one of the best defensive catchers in the game, but I dont know what he'd net in a return because he's a flawed offensive player. Defensively, he's exceeded my expectations...offensively, I think many of us thought he'd be much better than what he's shown.

O's need a TOR starter in the worst way...not sure how they go about getting one w/o giving up on either Schoop, Gausman, or Bundy.

First 8 batters of the game reached base. Yeesh.

i like vin scully :wow:

Yeah, he's great. He really knows his stuff and does his homework on the other team's players. He always throws out the most random facts about players.

I was watching a game the other day on KCAL and he said something like "this player says he has such strong forearms because he had to roll the corn for tortillas his entire childhood". Vin is like the Nardwuar of broadcasters.

On point with the Nardwuar comparison.

The fog in the Reds-Cubs game is crazy.
