Pro: I'm happy for Dom because he was starting to look like a bust. Carlos Gomez too.

I agree Fister is quite underrated. Like his stuff. He's valuable in the playoffs.

Guzman should of known a ball was coming for him after he showed up the giants last night

That's ridiculous, Guzman didn't show anyone up. He faced his dugout, not the Giant's. What he did wasn't anywhere near as bad as these bat flips people are doing now.

Pitchers need to quit being so butt hurt over nothing and go out there and get people out.

Oh and the way Guzman reacted kinda showed he knew it was coming lol

Guzman taking offense to it is also ridiculous. He didn't get hit around the head. He knew it was probably coming. Be a man and take your base.

Papa Grande is finito.

If only Rondon could control his stuff.

Detroit will be in the market for a reliable reliever.

Why does Leyland keep trotting Valverde out there?

SMHHHH

Anything would be better than Valverde in the 9th, including Benoit. I'd even look at putting Drew Smyly in at closer full time.

Make it 17-5

Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman might not be the biggest name in pitching in the major leagues right now, but his performance over the past two seasons ranks among the best.

Since the beginning of the 2012 season, Tillman is 16-5 for a .762 winning percentage. That winning percentage is the fourth-best in all of baseball for players with at least 20 decisions. Tillman ranks behind only Cincinnati’s Mat Latos (.833), Detroit’s Max Scherzer (.781) and St. Louis’s Lance Lynn (.765). He entered the night tied with the Los Angeles Angels’ Jered Weaver and the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Zack Greinke (.750), but he pulled ahead with his six-plus shutout innings of three-hit baseball.

Oh, yea....CRUSH Davis :pimp: 26!!!

I was going to say he should be in there. But they're apparently stretching him for the rotation if a spot opens up. Jimmy is too stubborn to use someone other than Valverde. Living off that fluke of a "perfect" season.

He had Albuqurque K'ing 12 per 9 with a high strand rate but refused to use him. But used Phil Coke who can't get righties out. It's a problem around the majors as whole, this misguided notion to use "veteran" relievers who have a high number of saves. Someone will acquire Houston Street thinking he's some high quality reliever because he has such a high number of saves and they'll regret it. But a guy like Jesse Crain won't get a shot at the 9th for a team that needs it because he's not in that role. It'll cost Detroit and a few other teams as well.

Even you?

You guys are rough on Papa Grande. Rightfully so, I suppose.

I don't know if you saw it, but i posted a couple days ago the Tigers would hands down be the best team in baseball if they had a reliable bullpen.

With their rotation, they're built for the postseason.
