Lmao why does Edwin Ecarnacion run the bases like a fat kid that broke his arm
He always brings out his pet parrot for his HR trots.

Astros' prospect and Houston native Jarred Cosart (acquired in Pence trade) has not allowed a hit through 6 against the Rays.

Cosart :pimp:
I hate Ed Wade as a GM but what a deal he made. Traded Pence for Cosart and Singleton(best 1B prospect in the league). Really helped start up the rebuild.

chris davis gotta be on something. i was comparing this year to every single previous year he had :x
he went from playing like a seattle mariner to playing like a texas ranger :x

i remember watching a Jays game last season and he hit 3 home runs, I thought he was the next Jason Gambi the way he made it look so easy. Found out he was more like a poor man Adam Dunn, now he is looking like a 2006 Ryan Howard

Davis isn't on anything, the power was always there.  He's hitting a lot more fly balls so naturally he's hit more home runs while also walking more and striking out less.  He's also made minor adjustments to his swing to eliminate a slight uppercut.

You can see his front shoulder lower and dip a little as he swings.

Here you see a noticeable difference as his bat travels through the strikezone on a much more level plane.

This change hasn't only resulted in more power but better contact in general.

His hitting profile has pretty much remained the same as last year except for three areas - the upper left, lower left, and lower right of the zone.  Those areas are generally the most difficult for left-handed hitters to make contact; the difficulty is exacerbated with an uppercut swing.  He's focused more on pitches in his wheelhouse and started laying off "junk".

I have not analyzed Chris Davis' swing from season to season, so you very well could be correct that he has less of an uppercut now. But your gif example was very poor. The gif where you are trying to demonstrate his uppercut, the pitch he swung at was letter high.....where as the other gif, the pitch is nuts high. Of course he is going to look like his swing is flatter on the pitch that isnt up by his armpits.

Lol padres got Sandoval with the hidden ball trick but don't count since time was called....

Shoulda called his *** out

You can't be on the mound dirt, and if I'm not mistaken it is a balk if you are.

The hidden ball trick will never work in the majors after a base hit cause time is almost always called. Only time I could ever see it happening is after a pick off attempt.

Right, if the first basemen would just keep the ball n the runner took a lead n got his *** that way
