Someone is a little over dramatic
 you haven't watched every single on of their games this season so I wouldn't expect you to understand. In 08/09 those teams actually played with effort and a sense of urgency, this team just rolls over once they're down by 2+ runs. It's pathetic.

Davey Johnson needs to be fired immediately....same w/ whoever is the batting coach. Too much talent on this team to be so offensively inept. It's pathetic.

Unfortunately, Davey won't get fired since he's retiring at the end of the year. I've been calling for Rick Eckstein (hitting coach) to be fired forever...luckily for him the offense figured it out in the second half of last year which is why he kept his job. He's been the hitting coach since 2008 and we've been awful offensively since then.

Something needs to be done. To me, it seems like the organization is treating Davey w/ kid gloves. Maybe firing him now would be the kick in the *** the Nats need. I don't get the point of holding on to him just for the sake of letting him finish the year and retire. If this team had no expectations and was one of the worst in the NL, sure...let him stay on. However, as you know, this was a team with extremely high expectations going into this year. Saying they took a step backwards is an understatement. I

I agree with you 100%. However, Mike Rizzo is still on radio shows talking about how things aren't going our way and that they'll turn around and Davey says after literally every game "we had the right guys in the right spot, but they didn't come through, we'll get em next time"...they've been saying this since May. A lot of the beat writers are attributing this terrible performance so far to "too much pressure from expectations" which I think is absolute bull****. A lot of things are going to have to be re-evaluated this offseason. Denard Span isn't the answer in CF, and we can't leave Zim at 3B anymore with his throwing issues.

nats are so disappointing.....I can't knock our pitchers.....its just the hitting thats pathetic

To be honest this weekend they faced a pretty legit staff. Each guy dealt this weekend for the dodgers. Friday was a great match up from both pitchers. Sat Zach just dealt and Kershaw was his usual nasty self. Buuuut Brandon League his keeping your bats quiet to so I see your point about struggling hitting

No doubt the Dodgers have a legit staff. Stras/Nolasco and Greinke/Gio were two awesome matchups, but we had the bases loaded with 1 out or less against those guys 4 times and didn't manage to score a single run. That's a huge problem. I knew we had no shot against Kershaw though, he's filthy. If it weren't for Jayson Werth the Nats would have no hits and 9 K's against him :x

SMH at Matt Kemp. Should have been hustling. Terrible baseball play and lack of effort leads to an injury.

Kemp really thought he was doin' it, huh?

Ugly way for it to happen, thats for sure.

Slow mo of the injury - graphic

It doesn't look that bad, just a bad tweak it'll probably be sore tomorrow and maybe he'll be off tomorrow.

Wait...Kemp comes back today, almost hits for the cycle and then injures himself in the 9th????

:wow: I like Kemp but WOW

Name I have seen is Neil Ramirez, over Mike Olt, and C.J. Edwards, who supposedly are the two better prospects. So not sure the deal there. I imagine Dirk would know much better.
Ramirez has nasty stuff but his command comes and goes.. Could be a solid starter if he gets the kinks worked out.

Edwards is so young, I couldn't begin to tell you anything about him... And with Olt, I just don't know what his stock is like with the eye issues and his general lack of production last year at the big league level and decline in production this year.

The other name I've seen is SS Luis Sardinas, who is log jammed to no end with the Rangers middle infield situation.
