it would have been commendable if he came out and admitted it the first time. instead he gave that speech, slandered an innocent person's name, and retained his innocence.

now that more evidence has surfaced, dude waited to see what the mlb had on him. what happened to the "tony bosch was only used for consulting purposes" line he used? more lies.

the chips were stacked against him and he cut a deal like the scumbag he is to lessen the punishment.

so no, i'm not going to give him his props for being the first to come out and admit it.

I get that, but everyone has made their speech and retained their innocence. Everyone continued to deny even though they were basically proven guilty. But no one admits it. I'm only asking if its commendable compared to all the others cheaters  That's all I'm saying I'm really not trying to defend him just trying to look at a different perspective. Although I don't think he admitted it cause of what the MLB had on him currently. I think this could have gone on for a long time. What I think is that Braun realized this was going to be a long fight, a fight he may lose so he did it for the team. I'm sure the club knew what was up all along. He's got a bummed thumb and this team isn't making the playoffs. The Brewers have a ton of talent and playoff potential so he said alright lets get this out of the way right now so the team isn't held back for an indefinite amount of time. This is pretty much the biggest positive I can take from the situation.

u're right he cheated and he's a scumbag for that. No disputing that. No ones gonna admit it before the fact, the whole point of cheating is to get away with it. At the same time though he did admit it. No one does that. Which is why I'm asking is he only getting this amount if hate because it just happened or for the other reasons I listed?

He tested positive, what is he admitting to?

He admits now after the fact because he is out for the year anyways, he can just relax and disappear until spring training next season. None of this is commendable.

And he got away with it. We all knew he did it, just like the long list of others who we know did it but no one has the balls to admit it. Look I feel like this may get twisted into something I don't mean. I'm not saying he should be praised I'm just saying of the many cheaters there are he actually had the balls to do it. And I think this will help get the others connected that I'm willing to bet none of which will admit it until they get caught as well.

A-Rod "admitted" to using steroids and never actually failed a drug test, you feel he should be commended in any way?

What exactly did Braun admit to? Maybe I missed something...

He's a ******g joke and I wish there was a way for the guy who collected the sample, to sue his ***.

Agree. Braun has come off this looking awful and it seems now that everyone hates him.

 at Kevin. Well played

Just curious about your guys opinion on Braun. Is he getting this amount of hate because of Kemp not getting the MVP, just because of the way he is, or because he's just the most recent big named player to get caught? I guess I would assume a combination of all 3. Thing is we're sitting over here admiring Bonds when we all know he was juicing. Is that because his story was years ago, the hush died down, so now we're back to admiring how good he was? This biogenesis lab guy has said what there were 90 names? And now he's talking about PED's in the NBA, NCAA, MMA, Tennis ect. I'm asking because this is more than likely sooo much bigger than Braun. Him telling the truth leads me to beleive so. It sucks that the superstar on my team cheated so as a fan I gotta deal with that for now on but that's honestly why it doesn't bother me as much as it should.

Something else that I was thinking about was yea Braun lied...but as far as I know everyone who has ever been accused of such has denied it right away. Braun actually had the balls to go admit it. We're all crucifying him cause he lied yet he is one of the first if not the first guy in his prime to admit it. Isn't that somewhat commendable? Because of that he may be helping the cause. Obviously he deserves hate for cheating but I think its ironic that everyone's hating him for lying yet he's the only one to tell the truth. Is he the first MLB star to admit it in his prime? I'm not sure.

The reactions to this in Milwaukee are very interesting by the way.

Why I don't like Ryan Braun..

He made that ridiculous speech last year.
Threw innocent people under the bus.
Turned his back on the other 19 players on the list by cutting a deal instead of taking the deal. This helps out MLB big time for their cases.

when yall stop clinging onto the notion that some of your players were DEFINITELY clean in an era of roided up baseball, things will go a lot smoother. "griffey's numbers were better because he wasn't on roids!". LOL at these narratives yall write. bonds numbers > griffeys numbers. there is no disputing that with fact. what if tomorrow, griffey comes out and admits he used roids which led to the breakdown of his body? what happens to your argument then?

Whether he admitted it right off the bat or just now like he did his *** would have been shredded regardless though.

What I don't get about your statement though is that he's a scum bag for cheating but he's even more of a scum bag for turning is back on 19 others who are also cheaters? What does it matter if they're all cheaters? That's what I'm trying to say, him admitting it should help get the other scum bags. Wouldn't him admitting it help the issue? That's really the only thing I'm saying is what could be commendable. He could have rode the wave as long as possible with all the other cheaters.

Kinda what I'm trying to get at. This is exactly why it doesnt bother me to an extent. We know theres guys who got away and a large list of those currently using. Braun is dirty in a dirty league but people are acting like this has never happened before. If someone like Griffey got away with roids why would he admit it? I don't get why everyone is on Braun because he didn't tell the truth when he first did it. NO ONE would do that. The whole point of cheating is to not get caught. But he at least grew the balls to admit it. No matter how certain everyone was he did it, no matter what the deal was, at least he admitted it. Scum bag regardless, yes.

He didn't even admit it tho. All he said is "I'm not perfect".

And the only reason he went that far is because there wasn't a chance to get away with it this time. Trust me, if he had the opportunity to get someonw else fired and get away with it he would have done it in a heartbeat.

Ryan Braun is a POS just like every other Granada Hills alum.

How didn't he admit it. He said I did it.

I guess I'll just say once he first took the goods he put himself in the scum category along with everyone else. None of this really matters. I was just curious as to why he's off in his own category of cheaters. I'll assume its cause he's the most recent guy. He can go in the most recent folder for now and get his due of *** hole rippage. To me though when it comes down to it they're all in the same category. Y'all can praise Bonds but he's side by side with Braun. Doesn't matter who did what or how they did it, they're all in it to save their own *** and will throw anyone under the bus if need be.
