Update: If the story of the innocent baseball player sucker-punched on his way to an innocent dinner in Cleveland because Cleveland is just an unsafe city doesn't exactly have that ring of truth to it, it's because it's not true.

Scene spoke to a witness to the "sucker punch," and there are more than a few discrepancies between his story and that of Tanner.

First, it was at 2:30 a.m. outside of Panini's on W. 6th.

Second, Tanner was a verbal instigator. He was with Joe Nathan, A.J. Pierzynski, and, according to our tipster, a bunch of girls. He had been jawing back and forth for a few minutes before the physical altercation took place.

"He lost a bar fight," says the witness. "He had 10 chances to walk away before this happened."

Maybe that's why he didn't file a police report. — Vince Grzegorek

Welp...

Why is Clippard crying about storen getting sent down? :smh: storen has been stinking it up...and the nats finally won a game that Haren pitched smh
Clippard and Storen have lived together since 2010 and are best friends, so I can see why he was upset. But, Storen hasn't gotten the job done so he deserved to go down.

I can't tell what Miggy said but I can't stand these douchey umps who think they run **** :smh:

"Chad Fairchild, we did not come here to watch you today."

First that awful call in Baltimore, now this.  Unfortunately, I don't think these umps will ever get over their inflated sense of self-importance.

Fairchild has issued the most ejections this year.

Edit: Hirschbeck tossing Harper earlier in the season was pretty egregious as well.

Bautista just got tossed for arguing a strike call too, but that's that's not surprising. He's the biggest baby in the league.

Dukes was a headcase and couldn't stay out of trouble.
Yeah, in Tampa Bay. He never had an off field incident in DC. And he didn't have any on field ones except for when he got into it with Mike Pelfrey in '08 at Shea.

Viva puig!

And I don't give a damn he can do whatever he wants just keep hitting/stealing/throwing/leading the team to W's

He could use some discipline on the bases though
