There is a big difference between a rain delay and having your field be unplayable on a clear night because your team's groundskeepers failed to tarp the field the night before. And there is precedence for a team having to forfeit a game because the field was not tarped.

yeah i agree with you, and i would say there is an argument to be made if this was later in the year. But the season literally just started, this game can be easily made up.
