Why would you want Carlos Quentin  the wind blows and probably breaks his ribs. You want a SD OF'er, go get Seth Smith's underrated bat. Or even Rios. Zobrist would be awesome anywhere but he'd do damage in that park gap to gap.

Well, if the M's wanted Matt Kemp, I figure Quentin is just as injury prone, but comes cheaper. Secondly...I don't know. I just like the guy.

I've thought about Zobrist as well, but I don't know who is available and which teams are sellers...I just assumed that SD was becauase they blow.

As versatile as Zobrist is, he's 33-years-old. Plus I'd be hesitant to do business with Friedman. He fleeces others. The Masai Ujiri of MLB.

 well if you like the dude I can't blame you.

Someone got it in my head Price/Zobrist to St. Louis and it just made too much sense

I'll take 33 year old Zobrist over a lot of dudes out there. Plus, only due $7.5 next year.

Interesting. I'm curious what Cardinals prospects in return?

I'm a little late, but many props to Lincecum :pimp: . To do it a year later, against the same team? Talk about impressive.

It would have to center around Tavares with Piscotty and Reyes probably. You're talking about a guy who has a manageable contract for a year plus and gives you value at four positions and exclusive rights to negotiate with the second best lefty in the game probably. It'd have to be a monster deal.

Denard Span for Nick Franklin, straight up.

Eh either one is fine. Foxx had 2600 hits, 500 dingers, almost 2000 ribbies, and a .325 average. Those are unbelievable numbers, but Henderson is one of the most game changing players ever. Doesn't matter though, Willie Mays is better than both as is Barry Bonds.

A's returning the favor for yesterday to the Mets.
You had to know the other shoe would drop.

No way. I'll pass. Another Friedman fleece if the deal came to fruition. I wouldn't leverage St. Louis' future and strong farm system on Price and Zobrist. Long thought Price and Moore are slightly overrated. Zobrist is a Swiss army knife in terms of versatility but simply not enough return to give up multiple top prospects.
