This Buster Posey rule is ******* up the game. Marlins/Reds game last night :smh:

*edit*

thought this was cool:

You think Manny will have a better career than Donaldson?

Easily. He's finally hitting his stride after the injury and suspension, and like I said before...I think he could be a perennial 25-30 HR threat.

doubleJ's was comparing Machado to Trout before the injury. Im sure he think's he'll be better than Josh

These last two Bal/LAA seriee have been really fun to watch. Hope we meet in the postseason.

What did I say about Manny in comparison to Trout? I've always felt that Trout is one of the 2 best players in the league. I've NEVER said that about Manny. One of the best fielding third basemen, sure...but he's got a ways to go in his development. Especially w/ his power.

Dropped a foul ball at the last Nats game I went to. Redeemed myself tonight.

10 runs in their past 5 games....but we keep winning :pimp:

*edit*

Oh yea...**** Kirk Gibson and the ENTIRE D-Backs organization for what they did to McCutchen.

That McCutchen thing was not cool. Gibson should get suspended and whoever the pitcher was should too. That was freaking classless. Of all the people you do it to McCutchen? Goldschmidt is out for the season, but the D Backs are out if the race anyway. Pirates have a chance.

either walk off here or lose the game. i have no interest in extra innings and more john kruk tonight

You have to figure that eventually everyone will realize how overrated Fredi Gonzalez is and they fire him right? They traded for Bonifacio but in his mind it's just another sign to keep batting blowjob lead off

I hope they keep Fredi forever. Hope the Mets keep Terry forever as well. Mike Redmond is probably the best manager in the division.

Yep. I don't know if I like Matt Williams or not. He makes some of the same head scratching moves that Davey made last year regarding bullpen usage, lineups, etc.

Redmond seems to manage the bullpen well, I've seen him mix up the order when going head-to-head against the Nats, and he doesn't make terrible pinch hitting decisions either. I swear if Matt Williams uses Scott Hairston to pinch hit against a RHP again I might lose it.

Will never pardon Fredi for running Venters and Kimbrel into the ground.

Anti-AL East. Terry knows he's a gatekeeper though. New regime will sweep through when the young arms are ready (Noah) and Harvey is fully-healed. 2015-2016 window.

Citi getting a plethora of pitching duels mid-August. deGrom/Fister, Colon/Z, Gee/Stras.

Terry knows he's a gatekeeper and with how stupid they are, watch him **** up another arm this season. I never saw the point in keeping a lame duck manager when the dude and the franchise knows he's not the guy going forward. You don't risk your team or your players, especially with a drunk like cocktail Collins. The new regime should already be built/in progress.

This always will be a good comparison for the Mets until there is new ownership and management unfortunately:

With the Mets having one of the best farm systems in the league after the Twins Cubs and ‘stros, and the rest of the NL East teams having below average at best farm systems, can you forsee any time in the near future where the Mets run away with the division every year, or is that just every Met fans fantasy?

Dan Szymborski: I know I’ve talked about this before, but I’m a big fan of the Mets future, simply because they have so many of the necessary elements right there.

Dan Szymborski: The issue is ownership and on-field management.

Dan Szymborski: I know I’ve compared them to a guy with great furniture, but assembly’s required and the instructions are in old norse.

Dan Szymborski: The Astros a few years ago, before they really started rebuilding, were like an episode of Chopped where they have to make a dessert from fish sauce, belly button lint, and styrofoam peanuts.

Dan Szymborski: But the mets are like one of those Top Chef finales where they have access to amazing ingredients. But they’re kind of stuck with having some bitter incompetent eliminated chef as assistants.

Sandy constantly preaches patience and doing things the "right way." Mets fans I talk to are buying it, hence the apparent lack of desperation or urgency.

Really thought it'd be Tampa or Boston down the stretch. Proven very wrong thus far.
