Felix was awesome tonight. Totally handled those first place Angels.

Without Trout, Pujols, Hamilton, or Kalhoun in the lineup.

That dominance. :pimp:

 Don't make me pull out the game logs when he DID handle the Angels with those hitters.

Give him the Cy already.

You can't blame this collapse totally on Beane trading away Cespedes. What was so special that he was doing in Oakland that made him this feared hitter? He's not even the 2012 version of himself anymore. The guy was slugging only .464 and his on base was ******* .303. You know how pathetic that is for an alleged star offensive player. You're talking about a guy with little plate discipline and an atrocious eye at the plate. And the worst part? His contact rate has actually risen in Boston and he's still been a bad player. The offense in Oakland was not clicking because of him. They built their offense on OBP guys and guys who can make elite contact. They tossed that out the window starting with Norris, Moss and Jaso. Norris and Moss started striking out like crazy trying to pull everything they could and the trio just stopped hitting fly balls.

The guy had a .767 OPS, he's not the sole reason the team is falling apart offensively.

I agree with everything you said but it's insane how they traded him away and they go into a major tailspin offensively. Sonny Gray and Scotty Kazmir have been horrible the last month.

It's definitely a small portion of what's causing this situation. They were slipping a bit already before the trade. But,t he run prevention has been excellent but the offense is just non existent. But, it's because these guys were at pretty high levels the first few months and they all evened out to their normal level or just cratered.

I was looking for a comparison and I think the Cardinals would be the best. It'd be like them trading away Jhonny Peralta and if their offense fell off the map, blaming it on him. Before you laugh it off...Peralta has the same amount of HR's, 30 points better OBP and about 14 points lower slugging. You're telling me that if Holliday, Carpenter, Molina & Adams all stopped hitting, I'm blaming Mozeliak? That's crazy to me.

How did I know this was you when I saw the preview?

Because I'm the guy that speaks the truth that your fanbase can't handle hearing?

Did any of those players play last night? No, so then nothing is incorrect in what I said, so you and the other Mariner fan can keep quiet and stop slobbering all over Felix for a start he doesn't deserve any credit for. The other great starts he's had, certainly deserve credit, last night, does not. Everyone sees that, except your fanbase. Color me shocked by that.

shocking that Felix was pulled after 7 in a tied game with under 100 pitches.

weak :smh:

The comments made about Felix's performance last night
Not even a peep in the M's thread

Well, since you two are late to the party, the discussion all day yesterday was how much better Felix was over Kluber by yet another Seattle homer fan who can't grasp a bigger world.

Hence, why Felix was brought up last night, after said fan came in spouting a made up stat named Felix which we could easily do with Kluber or Sale, but that's about as stupid as it gets. Maybe we could just change Homer to "Seattle fan", it's about the same as naming meaningless stats after Felix.

I'm saying it's a toss up right now between Kluber and Felix and I'm leaning Kluber. But I won't be shocked or upset if Felix wins.

The baseball knowledgeable guy from yesterday said it was Felix by a landslide, not even close, blah blah blah.
