Who knows...**** is so ridiculous :smh:

The whole "I am Darren Wilson" is a sick *** taunt but back to baseball

 @ puig getting benched

Got called up to varsity for the playoffs my sophmore year. Before the game a senior told me to pack one, and I did. Right after pre-game warm ups I was yacking in the dugout trashcan  never did it again afterwards.

Random, but how many of you guys dip?
Did in HS, but then we had some dude speak to us in chapel who was missing 3/4 of his jaw and that was it for me.
tried it when my team went to football camp at Elon. It was more of a bonding thing w/ a few of my country *** teammates

It wasn't too bad but I never had an interest to do it again after that day.

I started dipping my junior yr of high school and stopped my freshman yr of college cause my roommate started getting white spots on the inside of his mouth where he would place it so I quit immediately. In high school we had this guy come in to talk to us that had his jaw removed cause he used to dip. But back then I was a dumb kid and thought what happened to him was a rare thing so I didn't listen and continued to dip.

Tonight's G4 start will tell me a lot about Shelby Miller's makeup. He was sparingly used in 2013, Matheny's fault, but Wacha wasn't ready for this postseason physically and it's Shelby's time to shine.

Just realized the dodgers have scored only 3 runs combined in the 4 playoff games they've played in St. Louis the past 2 seasons.

All bad

Let's hope. He's looked pretty broken most of the year.
Finished strong. The early season walks were alarming. Throwing more two-seam, sinking FB's. Inducing more ground balls as a result. Working on the curve with Yadi and his veteran rotation mates.

I used to dip regularly on the baseball diamond.  But since I decided about 3 years ago to give it up, I decided to switch to these:

I know, I know......they are REALLY lame.  But it still provides a quick little energy boost while still giving the feel of dipping.

Gio needs to keep his cool in G4. Often loses composure and has a temper. Nats, 5-2. I want more baseball, this series goes back to Washington on the bat of Bryce Harper.
His last start of the season was the best I've ever seen him look. Of course, it was against the Mets. Last postseason game Gio pitched in was the 2012 NLDS Game 5, and while he didn't choke, he didn't light it up either. Got pulled after 6 with a 6-0 lead cause he couldn't find the zone. If Gio can't consistently throw strikes we're gonna be in big trouble. Hoping for 6 solid innings out of him.

He doesn't have it from last year though is what I guess I'm trying to say. The two seamers and more running fastballs are great but what made him such a great prospect and pitcher was him having an out pitch against lefties. He totally ignored that plus change up and that cutter that runs in so well on lefties to throw more curves and two seamers. Not a good trade off at all. You can easily stack a lineup lefty heavy and pick him apart unfortunately.

Goddamn Dave Cameron put up an article of bringing in Stras tonight before I got a chance to bring it up today

I think you gotta bring him in for a couple innings tonight and toss Zimmerman for Game 5 if you make it.

I'd love for JZ to start Game 5 if we were to make it that far, don't think they'd take the start away from Stras though.

Stras coming in as a reliever doesn't make me feel too comfortable. He's not very good in the 1st inning (might just be a mindfact) and he has no experience coming out of the pen. But, the season is on the line and you gotta do what you gotta do.

Shelby light work in the first inning.

Gio is perplexing to me. Vividly recall one start later in the season, Matty pulled him and he snapped inexplicably. Bob Ojeda was livid.

Then the August start against ATL. 4.2 IP, 4 BB, 8 K. 111 pitches. He's just not the same pitcher as 2012 for whatever reason.

And I shoulda hit that powerball a few weeks ago.
Don't forget about me when you do.

^ Yep. Crazy how his numbers didn't end up looking too bad at the end of the year.

Nats beat reporter says JZ is throwing a bullpen like he's gonna start Game 5 (if there is one) and that Stras just did his normal flat ground routine that he'd do before a start. Looks like he's coming out of the pen tonight.

Calling a Harp homer tonight, my friend.

People don't realize how good of a hitter Rendon is, watched him torment the Mets' pitching all season.

I can't stand Joe Buck or Fox's stupid football music that they use for every sport.
Co-sign to the max. Feel NT has been tough on Buck, but it's not unwarranted. He's rough to sit through for 3 hours of a Cardinals game.
