he said the fans were a major part of the reason he wanted to play in Boston. i'm sure getting Hanley helped, along with promises of bringing in pitching

Fans as in the most notorious racist fans in sports history?

Not saying all boston fans are racist but what a crock of **** reason. Panda left his brain in the bay

C'mon man you know damn well east coast fans are more intense than west coast fans.

Who knew wine would turn sour so fast? Enjoy your 3 in 5, fan base turned on him during the first half of the season and every other season that didn't end in champagne showers.

Love it when fans think players owe them something.

i will say that Panda nickname is lame as ****

i'm already sick of all the panda ******** i'm seeing posted by the Red Sox twitter and IG accounts

I like the Panda nickname, it fits him. Think it's pretty funny seeing fans in the stands with Panda heads on too

Sox DFA'd Juan Fransisco to make room for Hanley, hope the Nats take a flier on him. He'd be a solid lefty bat with pop off the bench. Can play 1B too which would help us when the inevitable Ryan Zimmerman injury occurs.

P.S. Funny there is fan base turning on a player talk coming from a Dodgers fan.

no wonder he wanted out

nah at the end of the day...he said he it's the passionate fans out here that helped make his decision. i doubt he meant it as a knock on you guys.

Man WHO CARES....let that man cook. He don't owe us anything . Sometimes a dude just wants something different.

Panda will FOREVER be loved in SF.

i posted this in the Cubs thread by mistake:

i'm hearing the sox are at 6 years $120M and likely to max out at $130M. i think it'll take $145M+ to get him to pick a team over Boston. but who really knows. the yankees not being mentioned at all in this Lester race makes me EXTREMELY nervous. i'm half expecting them to swoop in out of nowhere with 6 years and $150M to get him.

Yankees don't want him.

Isn't it pretty weird that Boston said they weren't gonna spend and were done with that? Now, if they get Lester, they're spending 300+? What yall think of that? Panic move? Desperate move? What is it?

I'm a Yankees fan so I'm not throwing shots at Boston for spending money.
