12 of the 25 players on the 2010 playoff roster were homegrown players.

11 of the 25 players on the 2012 playoff roster were homegrown players.

14 of the 25 players on the 2012 playoff roster were homegrown players.

Spin that all you would like.  The bottom line is, in spite of making key trades and signing a few key free agents here and there, yes THE MAJORITY of our core players during our run have been homegrown players.  I would love to see how other World Series winning teams stack up to that.  I would say off the top of my head, the 2011 Cardinals have a fair share of homegrown players as well.  Aside from that, I dont think many other championship teams in recent history can say that.

You are right.  He has been in our system in the minors for a while now after being out of baseball for a few years.  My mistake.  Will edit my post.

He came up with the Giants. Vogelsong also came through our farm system as well
