If voters voted back then like they do now (a little more educated now), there is no way Barry Zito would have won the Cy Young that year.  Absolutely no way.  IMO, it was one of the most undeserving awards in my lifetime of watching baseball.

Zito was 23-5 with a 2.75, 78 walks, 182 K's, 1 complete game and a 1.13 WHIP


Zito had 5 more starts and 30 more innings.

Thanks for posting the stats CP. Been away from my computer since my last post. Pedro was the best pitcher in baseball that year. Wasn't really that close in my opinion either.
