I can happily say Barry was the greatest hitter I've ever witnessed. Juice or not he was unstoppable during the balco years.

But at that point his timing and eye were on another level, all jokes aside

Of course, all good. I still shake my head at his Pitt playoff performances. If he played close to his he did with SF the Pirates would have some more recent rings :lol:

I'm not going to go into my long spiel but I'll give you the short version.

rapid expansion post strike thinned out the pitching talent pool.

same reason the bulls won 72 and the Wilt and Jerry West laker ran off 24 in a row.

did steroids help barry? maybe. but not as much as ****** pichers throwing 88 mph heaters.

I think there is a interesting and worthy debate on how much it helped him but I don't see how the PEDs only 'maybe' helped. If they didn't help, he wouldn't have done them. To me that part of the equation is that simple
 
Roids will improve your strength and all that other non-sense, but it won't improve your baseball skills.

A bad hitter is still going to be bad hitter after taking PEDs.
