It was what they said on Sports Center this AM.

Shuster grabbed the historic ball and said he wouldn't give it back to A-Rod, who has admitted using performance-enhancing drugs in the past and was suspended for the entire 2014 season for violating the league's PED rules. Before the ban, Rodriguez unsuccessfully tried negotiating his way out of it.

Yankees team security tried getting the ball for Rodriguez, but Shuster wouldn't cough it up.

Smart businessman holding on to that ball :pimp:

Or just a Red Sox douchebag who is going to destroy the ball

Routine popup just beyond the infield and he was battling the sun. Stumbled backwards and fell on his tush. Ball dropped in front of him for a hit.

I consider myself a baseball purist and traditionalist, yet I have never for the life of me been able to comprehend why plays like this shouldn't be ruled an error. Change the damn rules.

Probably about 10 years ago or so now :smile:lol), A-Rod was charged with an error on a dropped fly ball in foul territory. The randomness of rulings is mind boggling.

Earlier this week Marisnick was stealing second base, and it was a bang bang play, but the SS ended up dropping the ball on a very tough catch and tag. He was charged with an error, and the reason given on TV from the offical scorer was the umpire was signaling the call the runner out, but flipped his call when he saw the ball on the ground

Shuster reportedly arrived late and bought the last single-seat ticket remaining atop the Monster. A fan sitting to Shuster’s left told the Post he would have thrown the baseball back onto the field, but that wasn’t in the cards. Shuster seemingly has bigger plans in mind.

“It’s a questionable ball,” Shuster told the Post. “Throwing it back definitely makes a statement, but that’s done all the time for a lot of things. I think something different should be done with this ball with greater significance. I’m not sure what that is yet. I thought about blowing the ball up and making a video of it.”

Thanks for the link jjs07 jjs07

I saw him sitting there after the game. Guess they just talked to him and that was it? Weird situation.

Astros reliever Will Harris has the longest scoreless streak in baseball behind Chapman :x

And he just struck out the side in the 9th :x

6 game lead in the division :pimp:
