I mean.. Who didn't expect the Astros to eventually expose themselves as a bunch of spares? :nerd:

that was expected ... The Astro are over achieving, they'll come back down to earth sooner than later.

We have 2/5th's of a starting rotation right now.

Starting Deduno and Fausto Carmona

They're gonna have make a move to acquire pitchers capable of eating innings or the bullpen is gonna be spent by the all star break

jewbacca what you think about carlos correa being rumored for a call up?

I really haven't heard any rumors, but I've really been out of the loop with finals.

His numbers are ridiculous though. An article I read yesterday said Luhnow wants him to go through the AA league again to see how he handles teams adjusting to him, and that he wanted him get some games in AAA.

No idea on the validity of that cause GMs never speak the truth to media.

He's ready to come up though IMO.

one report i read said he's going to triple a in a week or two then jon hetman said he's going to the show in a week or 2. either way, I'm excited to see what this kid has.

I'm extremely excited for Correa. As a former shortstop I've always been partial to that position and the majority of my all time favorites have been shortstops. I'm hoping that Correa goes to AAA just so I can drive down to Fresno and watch him play before he gets to the majors. It seems like there is a lot of pressure from the fans to get him up already though, we'll see.

MLB Tonight is so amazing. My favorite thing about Giants day games is that I get to watch it. The only downside is Amsinger.

I don't remember exactly what it was, but the article said he'd be in the minors for 60 days cause of the super 2 crap.

I really want him to stay in AA till next week so I can go see him and Appel in Corpus after my finals

And see some broads on the beach there :pimp:

damn politics

shortstop position honestly sucks right now but with correa, lindor and seager, coupled with simmons and hechavarria, it's starting to look more promising again.

Yea it's definitely going to come back with a force. I'm actually pretty sure we're going to enter the golden age of shortstops. You got everyone you named and then you got guys like JP Crawford (Carl's cousin), Nick Gordon (Dee's brother), Raul Mondesi Jr, Brendan Rodgers will likely go 1 in the draft this year. That's not even including all the top college shortstops who are getting drafted this year and all the guys currently in the league like BCraw, Bogaerts, and Castro. When I was a kid I had Jeter, Larkin, ARod, Nomar, Vizquel, Ripken to a lesser extent. That was THE position and I'm excited to see it return.

How has Mark Appel been doing? I know he struggled last season, but he pitched pretty well in Fall League. Dude had a lot a lot of hype coming out of college.

Appel's first couple starts were good, but his last couple have been horrible. Pretty sure I remember reading he threw 90+ pitches in less than 4 innings

Didn't know Jp was related to Carl. Forgot about Nick and Mondesi. Really hope everyone pans out and we have that golden age again. Jeter, Nomar, Arod growing up was :pimp:
