So, I guess Aroldis Chapman is just gonna be a closer his whole life, huh? I haven't heard any talk of him as a starter lately. Is that idea dead?

Yes it is

Never found out why, he was going to do it last year in spring training and then it just stopped there

I'm buying the Yankees one. I like the inspiration for the hat. Just like last year's had that old Royals throwback look to them. Reminds me of the 90s when the ASG had some crazy jerseys :smokin

Score doesn't even reflect how close it truly was either.  Got Hanley (who was 4-4 in the game up to that point) to pop out to with the bases loaded for the third out.  Honestly thought he was going to give up the slam.

injuries and for what it's worth ron darling mentioned one time how guys that throw splitters lose velocity quicker than usual.

Oh damn. that stinks. I am rooting for The Freak.

Terry Collins is frustrated with Cuddyer and Murphy. He told them to step up. It's about time. Cuddyer does not have an extra-base hit since May 1. :x We gave up a draft pick for the curious case of Michael Cuddyer. Alou may miss a lot of games, but he was so useful. :smh:

Think about it. We passed Nelson Cruz TWICE. Cruz is what we needed. Alderson better steps up for next off-season period.

Was talking to my dad last night about Sandy. We both concluded he's done an excellent job gauging young talent and making trades, but we can't stand his free agent signings. That's when I suggested that he may be limited to spending X dollar amount and when you're handcuffed with what you can spend, you can only bring in so much. Seems like that's the case with Cuddy and Grandy. At their price levels, they were the best available, but in the grand scheme of things, there would've been better players a little more costly.

Cuddy needs to step it up. Love the guy as a veteran presence and he's a good influence, blue collar guy, but he's gotta do his job. We need him to bat over .300. And Murph, if you're not gonna field, you better hit and he's not doing either right now.

Agreed. I love Alderson's acquisitions of d'Arnaud, Thor, Wheeler and Herrera. I am still upset about the Jose Reyes situation. I can understand why we passed Cruz for Grandy. Cruz was in trouble for using PED. Last winter, I was disappointed that we passed him for Cuddyer. I suppose signing Cuddyer was Wright's call. Who knows?
