deGrom's circle changeup is sexy. He's becoming my favorite Met player this year.

**** Ian Desmond. Whoever pays him $100M+ will regret it forever.
I've always felt that way when I've heard stuff about him potentially getting paid

Same here always felt he was overrated and not worth what he'll get.

METS
nope. One of the few times I'll happily let the Wilpons be cheap. Rather have Flores. Same production offensively and defensively for a hell of a lot less money. Just wish Flores would draw more walks.

Who would you rather have A or B:

A) 7 HR 21 RBI 3.2% BB% 13.4% K% .177 ISO Average defensive metrics
B) 4 HR 14 RBI 5.6% BB% 25.4% K% .143 ISO Below average defensive metrics

I'm going with player A. Why? Because he's younger and won't command nearly as much salary wise as player B. Mets would be stupid to throw 100 million at Desmond when Flores has the potential to give you similar output while being 6 years younger.

The walks will come for Flores, hopefully, the K% shows that he has a decent eye at the plate which is what I want to see from a 23 year old.

Rain delayed the Twins 8th win in... 10 games :nerd: Now 27-18, 1.0 GB from KC.

Plus, the Twins starting pitcher - 7 IP, 5 H. Postgame: "I think we're all going to go in there [the locker room], and dance with the disco lights."

May have dodged a bullet with him not taking that extension. Solid player, but I'm not interested in paying a 29 year old big money for 5-7 years. Desmond may finish the year with his typical numbers, but he's just not worth the money to me.

Most certainly dodged a bullet. And he may offensively, but his defense has been atrocious. I see a move to the OF in his future which will bring down his value. Wilmer Flores isn't great defensively, but like Johnny Peralta at least they can make the routine play. Every ball hit to Desmond is an adventure.

It's weird cause I don't think Desmond has been this bad defensively in the past. Putting him in left field might not be an awful idea. Gotta figure with age his range and quickness at short will deteriorate some.

I can live with Foores at short but the Mets need to move on from Murphy. The two of them together is a disaster. Having a healthy Wroght next to Flores would help as well but I don't think Wroght will ever be healthy ever again sadly.
