don't think so but i like the idea. it'll stretch the season for harvey, degrom and thor so they dont hit their innings limits in early september.

I like the idea for the reasons you stated, just curious how many starts guys will lose over the time they run the 6th man rotation.

All 3 of those guys are on innings limits?
Harvey is really the only one but I think they want to just play it safe with the other 2. Think they might miss like 3-5 total at the end of the day.

It appears I will never get over the RA Dickey trade.:x
thank you

The Astros are so good at ******** away chances to score runs :x

I can't ******* stand Chris Carter.

Edit: @brianmctaggart: Astros are 2-for-11 with RISP today.

Edit: @brianmctaggart: Astros with RISP this series:
Monday 1-for-11
Tuesday 3-for-9
Wednesday: 2-for-11 (so far)

And on a Gattis bomb, after Tucker beat out a double play, the game is tied

The Astros are working some serious late inning gypsy magic

He turned it up a notch when all them NL pitchers talked **** because he complained about bunting

Is not anyone else impressed by Holliday's on-base streak to start the year? Now at 43 games. Jeter has the modern day record of 53 from back in '08.

Twins sweep the Red Sox, 9 of their last 11 have gone for wins.

I'm not ready for the Aaron Hicks optimism, just like I'm not fully ready for a good Twins team.

@LaVelleNeal: Molitor: ``Aaron Hicks has stabilized the outfield.''

Right there with ya on Hicks. Offensively, at least. He's great for the defense.

Loving this start. They're very fun to watch and the young pitching is hanging tough and getting better. I don't know if I believe that those young arms will be sustainable for the full season, so I do expect the wins to tail off, but I really hope I'm wrong.

Ervin Santana might be a real nice pick-me-up midseason though.

Great read, thanks for posting. I used to be into basketball and baseball cards just like that...thinking these random cards were gonna be worth something someday , scouring Beckett for price updates. My dad was into it he would take us to local conventions, was like Disneyland in there. And then the bottom dropped out in the 90s with oversaturation, "limited edition" sets, and grading. But when I see a pack on sale anywhere I still have the urge to buy one.

Man now I want to pick up a Beckett (do they still make them..?), go through all the boxes of random cards at my folks' house.

Kinda sad about the Uribe trade, he was a terrible ex-Giant for the first few years of his deal but he came around the last 2 seasons. Great defense and great clubhouse guy, and was BFFs with Ryu and Puig . That HR he hit vs Atlanta in the NLDS last year was awesome.

Incidentally he was traded to Atlanta, in the middle of a series vs the dodgers, awkward. Started at 3rd for ATL today
