Yeah, that Cubs roster is an absolute mess. Can't be mad at Theo if he wants to build from the ground up, and Rizzo is a good prospect. I think SD feels Alonso is just a better fit for Petco.

What's the word on Chapman? Last I heard he was having shoulder issues, but was slated to go for a starting spot in ST. Needs a third pitch if that's going to happen, though.

Yea I think they finally started to figure out how terrible he looks as a reliever on back to back days. They're gonna start stretching him out and try to get him to throw more changeups/splitters but then he had the shoulder problem. I hope they figure it out with him. But you know how Dusty likes to run arms into the ground.

Rangers win it at $51.7M...

Rangers rotation gonna be loaded with young guys rockin mid-90s heat... Sick.

Lewis, Darvish, Holland, Harrison, Feliz/Ogando... Power.

One of Feliz or Ogando goes back to the pen and the staff is set.

Not sure investing 100 million+ on a pitcher yet to play in the majors is the right business decision, but a counter to the Angels' moves was always on the cards.

Good for the Rangers, I suppose. He certainly profiles as a front line pitcher. For that kind of money, though? Personally, I can count on one hand the number of pitchers I'd invest 100 million+ in.
