It's sad cause 9 million a year for a guy who is capable of posting a 5 to 7 WAR is a steal.

Just saw a tweet that says we're still in it for Kimbrel too, though unlikely. Seems we're going all in for the next couple of years, if we get Kimbrel to our bullpen 

 

Love what Luhnow is doing. AL is wide open this year, gotta make moves. We have a deep farm system, so it's not such a big deal to give up prospects to win now.

Hurts losing Phillips, but the OF is very crowded already and we just drafted Tucker and Cameron.

Fiers is still under team control for a while and he should fill out the 4th or 5th spot in the rotation without being horrible.

Interested to see what happens when Springer comes back. Luhnow has said doesn't want to play Tucker at first, but our best lineup will have him at first.

So Rusmus, Marisnick and Tucker taking turns in LF. Carter or Singleton could be moved in some fashion. Let Gattis play first? Valbuena is already taking starts at 1B with Lowrie back.

Adding someone like Gomez makes it seem as if Jake or Preston are available. Not to mention Singleton not starting vs a righty (possibility of a trade). Guess we weren't as high on Phillips as many thought.

Big haul by the Brewers. 2 top 100 prospect per mlb.com and 4 of Astros top 25 prospect. Do you guys think the Brewers got a better deal than with the Mets granted they had to throw in Fiers also in this new deal? I like this deal better if I were the Brewers, even though there are risk on both sides.
