HARPGOD is ready :pimp:

I love Joey Bats and Rogers should increase the payroll to keep him at 5/100

Joey Bats is right, its an ownership decision, and its basically impossible to describe how a valuable a successful Blue Jays is to Rogers. The ratings they got down the stretch were incredible and now is not the time to alienate the fan base.

Pay da man.

Francesa said its cause season tickets are down and they're afraid people will stop buying legend seats season tickets since the product on the field is subpar and they can buy last minute tickets cheaper

The Mariners are against NBA/ NHL coming to Sodo for this exact same reason :smh: .

dland24 dland24 and I were discussing (more so he was listening to me argue) the possibility that the Indians' rotation is better than the Mets' going into the '16-'17 season. Kluber/Carrasco/Salazar/Bauer, not many 4-man rotations I'd take over Cleveland's quartet. @FinallyFamous will back me up.

johnnyredstorm johnnyredstorm : Early word from PSL is that Lagares looks 15+ pounds lighter. Reported to camp ready to ball, word to Correa. It also looks like Yo spent all of his money on new whips.

O's gonna have some potent bats in their lineup...

Fowler
Machado
Jones
Davis
Trumbo
Wieters
Schoop
Kim
Hardy
Don't want to give away all my fantasy secrets, but Trumbo is one of my sleepers for cheap power. Camden is the most hitter-friendly park he's played in throughout his career. Also like Schoop for possibly 20 homers.

I get all that, but you have to be careful measuring what you described versus overpaying a franchise player for past services rendered. Smart GMs pay players for what they're going to do in the future, not the past body of work.

Schoop hit 15 in 86 last season...he should be around 25+ this year. Dude has some legit pop.

I read an article that Yankees will not take print at home tickets this year. What a joke

Scan the phone only? Who still prints? I either digital or the legit, team printed ones

It effectively kills the resell market which is huge in baseball... And they've been quoted that part of the decision is so the "lower class" doesn't have access to better seating... ******* scumbags :smh:...

Another reason to hate the Yankees

i'm not good enough to sit behind the plate cause i don't make six figures & go to games in a suit :rolleyes

Royce Harper  Byrce shall have a new name in this thread.

To be fair man, and I know what Bautista means to the team, but at 35/36 years old... he shouldn't be getting $100M. It's not realistic spending.

It's a win win for the team.
They don't care if the season ticket holder can't resell them, they already got their money from him. Now the casual fan will more likely have to go to the box office/directly to the team to buy tickets, that they would normally buy from stubhub, so the team now makes more money
I hope it means more empty seats and less people go

Max I go with Bautista is 3/90. No shot he deserves a five year contract at that age. It's foolish. I don't care how important he is.

The O's deal for Gallardo was fantastic. 2/22 with a TEAM option for a 3rd? That's :pimp:

This team will be competitive in the AL East and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the playoffs this year.

out of all people I wouldn't expect @Osh Kosh Bosh  to give the green light for that 5 year contract

It's true though, can't dish out that much on a diminishing player, especially when he'll probably be a DH 2 yrs from now.

Love the guy, but we can't mortgage our future like that.

"MLB/MLBPA announce new slide rule (runner must make attempt to reach and remain on base) and 30-second mound visit clock."

"Also, the "neighborhood play" at second base will now be reviewable. Infielders aren't going to like that."

From Mark Zuckerman's Twitter.

I really hope the language of this new rule is more specific than this.  I hate when leagues make new rules that are vaguely worded, which leaves a ton of room for interpretation.
