Where do y'all rank Ted Williams on your lists?... Do you fault him for time served?... Or do you sorts patch his numbers in for anticipated stats?... He missed 5 full seasons, all prime years... He's definitely in my top 5...

ted williams is top 3. his time served (and when he served it with respect to his career) makes his case even stronger IMO

See this is my thought... To me, it's Bonds, Mays, Williams... Top 3... But I'm unsure if I'm being a Homer ...

if you tried to say Ortiz, then yeah. Williams is totally justified. i would think he's on many people's top 3

Y'all dudes really don't have Ruth in your top 3? ****, one of the best hitters ever and was one of the best pitchers when he pitched. I don't know how he's not top 3 for everyone.

Honestly Mac, I'd put Griffey ahead of Ruth, but I don't want to hear any purists complain.

I believe Bobby broke it down once, how Ruth didn't even play against the best competition because of the racial inequality at the time. Idk, I have no problem with Ruth in a top 3 or even 1, but for me personally, I'm not sure how to gauge his legacy.

I gotta put DiMaggio up there in the top 5 man, the guy never struck out. 13 K's during that season he had the 56 game hit streak. 13 Ks' in a season b. Ridiculous.

Yea I really wonder just how skewed those old time #'s would be due to the discrimination in the game at the time

"Nats announce they will extend netting from behind home plate to the ends of dugouts this season. Entire dugout will have netting behind it."

It sucks kids can't have the type of moments they used to behind the dugout, but it's the right move for public afety.

Colleges are extending netted areas too.

There's just absolutely zero reason to subject someone to a smoked foul ball to the face

Helps me out cause there will be more baseballs tossed my way since they can't just toss em behind the dugout anymore

What I hate about this is that the Nats owner came out and said they were in compliance with the new safety rules and then waited until after season ticket deposits were due to announce this change :smh: I'd be fuming if I renewed my seats there without them telling me this. Pretty crappy on ownerships part.
