Yeah, this one of those games for Carlos. Back to back games, cold wheather, first week of the season, he'll come back. He blew a couple early games last year and then was damn near unhittable for the rest of the season.
Starlin though.

If anyone actually saw the end of the Cubs game, you could NOT blame Marmol. Seriously....did anyone see it? Felt bad for Marmol.
On a side note, the Giants are now 2-15 in our last 17 first series of the season in LA games. Sweet.

Thing is, he walked the first batter when he could have had him, he just missed with his last 2 pitches, and then the next hitter he left his slider hanging for the guy to get a hit.
After the Overbay bunt, he fooled the next guy pretty bad and got a check swing 45 footer, but it was perfectly placed.
He's worked out of jams before by getting big strikeouts, just didn't happen this time. I personally thought they shoulda walked Alvarez to load the bases, create the DP situation or at worst force at any bag, and faced a right handed hitter. *shrugs* Life of a closer.

Good stuff at Camden. Wieters really seems to be recognizing off speed stuff better than before.

Everyone hating on Marmol yesterday looks stupid today. Not that three appearances was enough to determine his competency as a closer anyway.
Buck Showalter has the Orioles at 4-0 on a hot start. I hope they can sustain it but it'd be surprising considering the brutal AL East schedule. Toronto has looked sharp early as well.
KLJ: I only made the Beckham comment because he's filling in for me in fantasy, thanks to Chase Utley's unfortunate injury.
