As far as the home/road thing...I believe it's only for this year. Since the new wild card changes were approved during the season, MLB didn't want traveling issues affecting teams or something like that.

Division winners still get to set their rotation w/ the extra days off.
They didn't want to run the risk of the World Series going into November.

Welp, it was fun Texas.

Rangers played their worst stretch of baseball at the worse possible time.

Holy crap, I can't believe Saunders came through like he did. Played like a BAWSE!!! Can't wait to see the Yanks. We can beat this team...Bmore is sooo lucky to have Buck....

Orioles Magic...

A few things.....

-Congrats to doublejs, abovelegit and the other Orioles fans. Great game today!! Great season so far. And thanks for the money tonight.

-Rangers. :x What a DISASTER of an ending to the season. Awful.

-I guess I am going to be the guy to get flamed by all of you, but I personally believe the infield fly call was the correct call. :nerd:

The Affliction shirt though.

Come on man, you're 40 years old...

Sad day to be a Braves fan :smh: Chipper officially retired

Chipper's error was huge and it was NOT an infield fly screw the Umpires

This game was disgusting even worse than the Brooks Conrad 3 error game. :x

Every thing went wrong for the Braves errors all over, The "Infield fly" call, Fans throwing bottles/cans/sneakers, Fredi Gonzalez calling for a safety bunt :smh: with Simmons and Medlen on deck what was Gonzalez thinking. Medlen deserved much better he only gave up 2 ER.

Just got back from the Harbor. Shouts to the other 3-4 O's fans on here. That's a Saunders performance. Scattered hits/walks and double play balls to avoid the big innings.

Lot of errors in these games, folks musts been nervous.

MLB should make it a best of 3 though.

MLB should make it a best of 3 though.

No doubt.

I'm a die hard Cards fan but it's just ridiculous for the Braves to be that much better in the regular season and not at least get a chance at a game 2 and (possibly) 3.

The one-game format is exciting for us fans but it's just not fair to the players. IMO.

Baseball has an extraordinarily long regular season. They shouldn't adopt an NFL playoff model for any round.

How are you gonna have a billion game season, milking fans throughout, and then have it all come down to one game? I would boycott the MLB if I was from Atlanta.

Hopefully. I regret not putting money down on tickets earlier. Tomorrow is the only game I can go to unless we make it to the WS.

Since when r u an O's fan? LOL. Never the less, i aint even mad. Had casual day at work yesterday, so I rocked the Eddie Murray throwback. Wearing Cal today. Such a good feeling. Made waking up 3x since midnight to deal w/ a crying baby no big deal. I dont care what happens from here on out. This has been a hell of a season. All the pressure on the world on the Yanks. O's can jus go out there and play relaxed. Anyways, lets get it!!!

Yeah 162 games is a long season and to have it come down to one game is rediculous. That is why you saw so many errors in both games yesterday, nerves and the reality of the one and done format.

J.J. Hardy has like a .992 fielding percentage and he booted a ball. Mark Reynolds should get a gold golve at first base and he misplayed one as well and missed a pickoff throw (which was poor) too.

The Texas and Baltimore game would have happened regardless, even last year since both teams has the same record......but Braves fans have to be heated with how things ended.

At this point any and all O's fans can come out of the woodwork......I'm sure 16 years of losing made a lot of supporters lose interest, but hopefully the winning reignites their zest for baseball in Baltimore.

Skins on Sunday.....O's and Nats playoff games too? Just give me two out of three, I'm not too greedy.

I'm going to try to head to Game 2 on Monday.

It only comes down to one game for teams that didn't win their division... The two wild card teams is the best thing to happen for the postseason.

If it were last season, Baltimore and Texas woulda been playing a one game tie-breaker for the one wild card.

As a fan of all Baltimore teams, its exciting to see the O's playing the Yankees in the playoffs....looking forward to a good series, hope they can start off game 1 with some live bats...

I need to get down to yard this week...
