How the hell are people ripping on Hamilton like you wouldn't want him?

I'd be happy as hell right now if he signed a 5 yr deal with the Phillies

I can't wait to see Bourjos elsewhere posting five-plus win seasons.

What does this mean? If those mythical "five-plus" wins are happening in Cleveland does anyone care?

Hamilton in many ways brings more to the table than Peter Bourjos, you can save the bundle of acronyms you're preparing at the moment. Don't 'eem care.

What are you saying to me right now?

$25,000,000 to $750,000. Tell me more.

Don't tell me more.

I would love to see who is the top 5 payroll in MLB and what they are. People talk about the Yankees but come on. Angels and Dodgers have spent crazy money the last few years. I'm not knocking it either.

The two teams in the Los Angeles market should be right next to the Yankees since L.A. is the 2nd biggest media market in the country. The Dodgers finally have real ownership and Arte Moreno has delivered in regards to spending since he purchased the Angels.

So many things happen behind the scenes, just to simplify, Josh Hamilton brings a bigger spotlight than Peter Bourjos. Probably a bigger spotlight than Bourjos will ever provide.

Then again, you're completely overlooking the business end of the sport. So hang on to those "plus five" wins.

Josh Hamilton = Household name... Peter Bourjos = Prospect that hasn't played a full year.

There might come a day when Peter Bourjos flourishes and he may get that big contract that he wont live up to, but right now, there is a reason why he only makes $750k

Teams know what they are doing, the Angels know what they are doing.

Peter Bourjos is a below avg hitter. He hovers around the .240 to .250 mark all year. And for all the speed he has, he stole only 22 bases the year he was a full time starter. He's got a great glove out in CF but then so does Mike Trout. Bourjos is gonna be 26 next year, too old to be a "prospect". I'd love to trade him for a SP. Hey, its not my money so I don't mind "spending" for Hamilton

When is Miguel Cabrera gonna be a FA? :nerd:

You guys don't know KLJ's schtick by now? Root for the white, scrappy, 'underdog' (Chris andersen, McCloth, Borjous) and keep mentioning him until he is irrelevent and hope people forget all about it.

You forgot to mention Wes Welker.

I'm far from white but I agree with KLJ, I think Bourjous will prosper when he's traded.

I don't agree with the Angels knowing what they're doing 100% TBH. I said it last year and I still say it this year. From the handling of Napoli to Trout to Conger to giving Vernon 500 AB's to these massive contracts to trading for a broken starter to not ponying up for a rotation. Wouldn't shock me to see them get 3rd place again.

If Drew isn't coming back at around ~5-8M then I say we go for Nakajima.
Id rather go for Drew. Drew showed he can bring it, we just need it consistently. Nakajima seems like he can do it but it is a questionable move to make. I agree but intl players aren't making a splash such as for instance the NBA. The last few out of Japan are forgettable, granted they were pitchers though. Cespedes was the best signing in years, don't know if Nakajima can't be that productive for us, Im sure he has great defense. All in all I want another AL WEST GET GREEDY OAKLAND!

Tigers To Re-Sign Anibal Sanchez For 5/$80M

Mets/Blue Jays may have a deal involving Dickey. Jays are looking to get an extension done first.

The Vernon Wells move was terrible, and that was their way of justifying it. Tony Reagins made that foolish move.

I know. Pre-arbitration

Not confirmed but it is Dickey for Gose and either D'Arnaud or Arencibia.
