AZ has some of the better depth in the majors around the diamond and in the rotation. A good amount of people are pretty high on them. I took the over on their win total FWIW

Yeah, they drafted right, but having back-to-back number one pick helps. It also helps that they were one in a lifetime players.
Jordan Zimmermann, Ian Desmond, Danny Espinosa, Ryan Zimmerman, Ross Detwiler, Drew Storen. It wasn't just only the number one picks that turned the franchise around, Rizzo has been finding talent everywhere which has also led to us landing Gio, Span, and others for our prospects.

I can't stand the home openers here in Seattle. Way too packed and the traffic is stupid. It'd be a lot better if I didn't have to drive, I suppose.

I took Monday off though, so my *** will be planted on my recliner all damn day. :pimp:

gotta be lucky sometimes, for as bad as that franchise has been, it's good something broke their way

Yeah... by far, of all the A's games I've been to, the Mariners were the most frequent opponent, followed behind by the Rangers.

It feels like A's and Mariners have faced each other on opening day for the last 10 years

I was gonna bring that up too.

It's like 3 out of ever 5 years they play eachother for either opening day or for either of their home openers.

I just went to look it up and only went back to 2010. 2013 will be the 4th straight year they open against eacother. Last year, Oakland was both the opening series for the Mariners andand the home opener. Silly.
