I really do need that excitement, the Nats are the most boring team in baseball at the moment. And you're acting like Gattis is setting the world on fire. It's possible that Puig could put up more power production in his first week in the bigs than Gattis has in his best month.

Gattis has more of a resume than Puig. I like speaking in reality vs coulds and possibilities.

The Nat's broadcast is one of my favorites. They're pretty good IMO.

I catch enough heat for saying Hubie Brown is trash so I didn't wanna express my feelings on Scully.

I understand that he's a "legend" but he makes the game so got damn boring. I watched a cubs game earlier this season and those dudes talked as if there weren't even a game going on hahaha. I enjoyed their broadcast. Still not enough to watch the cubs tho.

The Cubs have an entertaining broadcast too. They picked up jim deshaies from the Astros booth in the offseason. There was quite an outcry here in Houston on local radio for letting Deshaies go because it was soley a money issue.

Yessir It was so weird when he wasn't in the booth for a week...guess he was on vacation or something ...and I was pissed when they combined the Os and Nats broadcasters when they had their series

I've seen your posts, so I know you're smarter than this dumb *** reply. This argument started because I laughed at a 5 game stretch getting people all hot in the pants, then you turn around and tell me 2 months isn't long enough for the guy on the opposite side -- how does that make any kind of sense. On top of that, I never said Gattis was the second coming of anything. Just said he's the better of the two right now. Resume > Projections

Yeah, 2 months more of a resume the reality is Gattis is a one trick pony who can crush a fastball over the plate and hanging breaking balls. Sorry he isn't getting the hype you think he deserves because he's "El Oso Blanco". While Gattis has a nice story and I respect what he's overcome Puig is a game changer, Gattis is not. Gattis is a solid replacement level player who isn't in his natural position and contributes next to nothing on the defensive side of the game while also not providing any speed on the bases. Puig can hit, run, and throw. Everyone knows he can't sustain this amount of success, but by season's end he'll be boasting better stats than Gattis. At least that's what the cloud raining over my head is telling me.

I love Gattis, but what is this resume you speak of? lol

48 games is a tiny sample size, and so is 5.

Both guys show promise of being productive players. What's the point of arguing A vs B here?

You're acting like your opinion is a fact Just how you laugh at a 5 game hot stretch, I laugh at calling a 27 year old rookies first two months in the big leagues a "track record". I can process your two sentences that don't back up your point just fine. Results are results, and you're claiming Gattis is this superior player based off of his track record of two months. Puig is on fire, the book isn't out on him yet like it is on Gattis. If Gattis goes into a slump, he's worthless out there in the field. Puig has already showcased he's a difference maker in all facets of the game.So you keep hoping and dreaming that Gattis can have more months like May and not April, because otherwise he won't be sniffing the ROY.
