ARod isn't getting a lifetime ban. You're a fool if you believe the MLBPA won't fight that to their death.

They gave Braun 62 games. Precedent has been set IMO. Most anyone can get from here on out is 62 games.

There are a couple players on there who will get 100. The number 62 is not going to be the maximum bar.

A-Rod may not get a lifetime ban but he could get more than 50. They'll appeal with the lying part of their case. Everyone thought the MLBPA would fight and stand their ground on every player. But once they came out and said if enough evidence is supported, they won't it's not as clear anymore. A-Rod (at least from all the reports) is one of those players who is going to have the evidence stacked against him.

This chick I used to smash has been ******g Christian Yelich. The Marlins called dude up tonight for the first time and he has 3 hits and 2 RBI's.

My jizz is magic :pimp:

Eh, who really knows how much Stras pitching would've helped. His last three starts weren't too stellar 14 innings, 12 earned and two of those starts were against the Marlins in which he got shelled. We were one strike away from advancing without him anyway.

I really hope we can get a manager who will light a fire under these dudes next year. They're all going through the motions and Davey Johnson can't see this because he starts napping right after the 3rd inning.

Not that it mattered on that play, but how do you miss 4 cut-off men? :x

I said it last year...You should never EVER take the next season for granted. Who knows?...They may never have a better shot at the WS than they did last year.

I cannot stand PED talk, period. However, I have a little different perspective so I'm gonna share this.

I played select/HS ball with and know multiple first (and high) round picks and D1 players. I played in a HS district that has produced many big leaguers and dozens of college players every year. The city of Houston and suburbs are a hotbed for prospects.

You'd be shocked at the number of HS prospects, D1 players, and minor leaguers who take PEDs and don't get caught. A local kid went to school out of state at a very prestigious baseball university, was caught and arrested with a huge amount of steroids. He was providing them to other teammates, was dismissed from the team and is now at a local school. He was the only one who faced discipline. I also have info on several other big time programs where PED usage runs rampant. I've heard so many stories about minor leaguers juicing, and even a current major leaguer juicing (who has never tested positive). I personally know a first and second round pick who have both used PEDs, both never caught.

There are the obvious examples of guys like Brady Anderson and Ken Caminiti who used PEDs and had monster years. However, there are so many more players who use PEDs and don't get scholarships, don't get drafted, and don't make the major leagues. PEDs are not some magical thing that can turn everyone into a stud big leaguer. For every Brady Anderson year, there are hundreds of guys not seeing a spike in performance.

There is no way to quantify the positive or negative impact PEDs have on performance. To make Braun and A-Rod out to be villains just isn't logical when there are so many users not producing monster numbers. All players should be viewed on an equal platform whether they are PED users or not because it is impossible to tell who is and isn't using. PED usage is running rampant at all levels of baseball and no testing policy is going to stop players from using, period.

Junior Lake wants me to forget about Starlin Castro.

7 hits the last 2 games. Hit a moon shot in the 9th.

Only thing I don't like right now is nobody should be wearing 21. :smh: Cubs need to knock that **** off and retire that number. Stop being an ex wife about things.

Yep

Sometimes fans act like PEDs would make everybody a good player when that isnt that case. Thats what I meant by its overstated

Yeah because Strasburg pitching would've helped Drew Storen not pull the biggest choke job in DC sports history :rolleyes I'm not saying Strasburg wouldn't have helped, but if you actually watched his last couple of starts it's obvious that he was gassed at the end of the year. Of course, him gassed is probably better than that performance Edwin Jackson gave us in Game 3 :smh:

Of course there are many users out there who 1) haven't been caught, or 2) don't put up eye-popping #'s.

Braun/A-Rod are just the dummies who got busted and also lied.

Who exactly is saying PEDs make everyone a better player?

I still maintain that the Nats botched the Strasburg situation last year. Knowing he had an innings cap, they should have skipped a few of his starts (seeing how they were in 1st place) and saved him for the postseason. I really think that last year's run got in their heads and they came into this season over-confident. Baseball, like many sports, are funny. You can be dominant one year and fall off the next. It's going to be a shame if they have a hard time being in playoff contention from here on out and are left with a bunch of "what if's" based off of last season.

They definitely could've handled the situation better no doubt, but it's not a given that Strasburg would've been the same guy he was in the first half. And I agree, Mike Rizzo is one of those arrogant GMs who can't own up to the mistakes he's made and takes too long to get rid of people he's brought in. He's gonna have to make some adjustments this off-season. Span isn't cutting it in CF for one, and we're probably gonna need to get rid of LaRoche in order to move Zimmerman over there. Also gotta get Drew Storen out of town.

Refresh my memory...didn't a decision come down between keeping LaRoche at the expense of Michael Morse?

Bryce at leadoff is :x It's a complete waste. If anything, move Werth there because he's the only one raking.

CBS reports ARod is facing possible lifetime ban and also he is refusing to negotiate with MLB on a settlement

USA Today reports ARod is facing around 100 games and is looking to negotiate with MLB on a settlement.

Of course.

a lifetime ban is ridiculous . not cause he's a yankee, i'd feel that way about any player facing this.

^

They pulled up his stats on the radio yesterday and were killing him. The amount of walks to HRs to at bats was ridiculous. His last few years, he had the best numbers in history. Better than Ruth, Maris, Gehrigh, Mantle, Foxx and Hank.
