I hate that the Dodgers and the Braves are playing each other in the first round. Hope its a series full of good baseball games, because I hate both teams.

Why though? The Dodgers have been one of if not the best team in baseball since the middle of the season, and did all this without Kemp. Him being out for the season shouldnt change anything.....unless you are going to say that you believe Kemp back propelled the Dodgers to be the clear cut favorites....where as now they are just where they have been since the middle of the season. ONE of the favorites.

Ahhh ok. Fair enough. Didnt know you were that big of a Kemp fan. I personally, am not a huge fan of his....and it has nothing to do with the fact that he is a Dodger. I think he is an incredibly overrated defender, who takes terrible routes and sometimes is able to make up for that with his speed. I think he is a below average baserunner...which says a lot because of how fast he is. He is a good hitter though. Really good. I just think that the idea that he is a well rounded player is very overblown.

It's going to be a tough series vs the dodgers. I hope BJ Upton is not on the playoff roster or is benched. Id rather have Gattis, Heyward, Justin.

Just because he is fast, doesnt mean he is a good baserunner. He makes baserunning blunders all the time. I saw him get picked off of second in a tie game in the 9th inning with 2 outs. He gets thrown out stealing far more than someone of his speed should.
Moving to a corner may hide his deficiencies to an extent. But he still gets horrible reads and takes very bad routes. He also makes far more mistakes out there than a "gold glover" should make.
He sure mashes the s*** out of the ball when healthy though.
And I hate the Dodgers, but I hope a Puig pimp job happens. The Braves are instigators, and then play the innocent victim card when their opponent fires back. I hope McCann is run over at home too.

He's centrally in his baseball prime at 29 barring future injuries. I think you're awfully tough on Matty in those two aspects, base running and fielding.

I'm shocked you guys don't think Matty deserved it in '09 or '11.
