Eliminating Divisions,
, that's ******ed.
Wouldn't mind seeing a 6 team playoff structure, kind of like the NFL, except instead of two teams getting a bye, everyone plays.

"The subtleties make the difference. George Steinbrenner was a real problem in baseball, and I think Mark Cuban is a real problem in basketball."
Try selling that line to fans who buy tickets.

Phils are starting to look real scary. Especially now that the O is producing a little more and Lee is looking like him old self again.

yessir...he's been lookin like the old lee the past three games
....what is also encouraging is the fact howard hit two opposite field homeruns!!! it's been awhile. utley and rollins are hitting, just have to get polanco rollin again. he seems to be slumpin. brown needs to learn to hit a fastball. once he does watch out.

Bautista, Cabrera, or Gonzalez? Who ya got?
Still think it's Cabrera. Most complete hitter out there; power to all fields, doesn't strike out much, and gets on base. Gotta believe Bautista's numbers will come down a bit, especially his BA, though his BABIP isn't really fluky.
And who the hell was pitching for the Yanks?
Have to believe a move is on the horizon for some pitching help. Only question is if it'll be a stopgap guy, or a blockbuster trade for a big-name.

There's not really much on the trade market unless a big name drops and I'm starting to doubt that. I don't think Seattle is trading Felix or Bedard. I don't see the Yanks meeting the Twins price for Liriano. Their best shot would be someone like Wandy. They're just praying all goes well with Hughes. I can tell you right now, bet the house they try and overpay for CJ in the offseason
That's a tough one, I'd still say Cabrera but Gonzalez is a great hitter as well. Scary thing about Jose is he's a dead pull hitter and that park helps those kinda hitters. I still see him getting to 45 or so.

Joe Mauer finally returns tonight against the San Diego Dads.
