although i'd rather have the dodgers win ideally, i would prefer the cards to finish this tomorrow so they get TONS of time off before the WS kicks off.

I still wanna know how its good for baseball?

I'm not with the excessive hot dogging but I like seeing guys out there showing emotion and having fun. Their getting paid millions to play a kids game most of us would happily play for free. Its competetive sports, it isnt life or death the way some players take it to be. Minus whale have fun out there. I could see where excessive celebrating could get annoying but at the same time some "old school " players are so uptight hey get mad over even the slightest showing of emotion and viewing it as disrespecting the sport when at the end of the day its a kids sport alot of us grew up playing in a park or sandlot or wherever and had fun time playing while doing so.

That's just my opinion on it. Not saying I'm right or wrong but its how I feel.

Anyhow if you want to get a good laugh, go on stubhub and look up ticket prices for game 5 tomorrow. Dirt freaking cheap as if people already waived the white flag and don't want to even bother attending tomorrow. I got 2 all you can eat seats for around 40 after stubhub fees.

I actually feel if the dodgers bats can even slightly wake up, this series is going back to St. Louis with Kershaw pitching Friday night. There pitching was good enough to at the very least get them a split in St. Louis games 1 and 2. They only gave up 3 runs those 2 games. They gave up 4 tonight but they had their chances.

If St. Louis doesn't close this out tomorrow I think its going 7.

Cards v Sox WS again? :x

No offense, really only 1 of these final four teams feels new and that is the one with the 216M payroll. I would have the same reaction with any matchup. Oh baseball, still the same song and dance

On a positive, love this great pitching

That deadspin article is hilarious. Cardinals have been cry baby losers all year. I remember in May during the rain delay game of the I-70 series how they were throwing a fit about the new rule concerning delays. Mike Matheny instructed his players to remain in the clubhouse and the grounds crew drug their feet the whole time getting the field ready. That whole team acts like a kickball team at recess.

I know its a 1pm start time and all and LA traffic is something terrible but damn this is crazy.

If the bats can even just slightly wake up, Grienke and Kershaw can pitch this team to a game 7. You lose 3 games by 4 runs. 2 of those where your pitchers have up 2 and 1 runs each over 9 innings.

Anyhow these prices are something else. Ill be at the game today, even if they lose, might as well catch one last game since I won't be able to again until April.

400

Tigers couldn't put one up with JV on the mound :smh: Props to Lackey for going toe to toe. Gotta put up some runs tonight. Don't have too much faith in Fister.

funny to see dodger fans calling for their front office to sign more bats. you'd think an all star lineup and a quarter of a billion dollar payroll would be enough...:rolleyes

Just had to chime in about the Cardinals and I think they are the most well run club in mlb. Lost Albert didn't even miss a beat smh still sick from when they beat us a couple yrs back after we were up. But they're my pick to win it all think they close the dodgers out and beat whoever comes out of the AL. Seriously who scouts for that squad?

You know you have nothing to say because your club acted like little girls who wanted to sway the rules in their favor. The truth always has a mighty effect of rustling the jimmies.

i'm sure if most fans didn't have work, they'd be out there.

Crappy start time and LA fans inability to support a "loser" will definitely kill the crowd.

That being said, see no reason why the Cards wont go for the jugular today, might as well. Injuries have hampered this team all year long, and with Ramirez hobbled due to the fractured rib, Ethier with a Grant Hill like ankle, Kemp on the surgery table... yeah, creates playing time for the Punto's, Schumaker's of the baseball world.

:smh:

It was a roller coaster year, a fun roller coaster, lots to look forward to.

Every fan base has their idiots, *shrugs*

- Get healthy
- Better bench
- Maybe swing a trade, using Ethier as a chip to get a decent 2b/3b.

Don't need bats, they just need to get healthy.

Just out of curiosity (and in no way intended to be smack talk), but how were the crowds at Laker games last year?  Much less support than in years past?

Easier to get tickets, tickets were cheaper, but Staples still sold out. Easier to fill a 19k venue than a 55k venue. Plus, when the Lakers dominate, a lot of people get priced out. Right now that they are struggling, people that don't usually get seats are getting them. Some think it's cool that "real fans" are able to get in the lower bowl now as opposed to stuffy celebs and season ticket holders.

[/quote]Help me out: I've been sitting here for a few minutes trying to figure out what his team has to do with what he said. I've got nothing.
