Thoughts on Soriano returning to 2B? :nerd:

Don't think it'll happen or would even be a good idea, but just something to consider as a slight possibility. Beltran in LF/DH and trade Gardner for pitching. Kelly Johnson at 3B/LF.

3/45 is a bargain for Beltran, IMO. Considering his agent was asking 3/48 from KC and other suitors. Slight discount, I suppose. He and his wife want a ring. Beltran also wanted to play in the Bronx even when he was courted by NYM.

10/240 contracts. STL loses Pujols, insert Beltran. NYY loses Cano, insert Beltran.

A younger version, but I made a board for work. Beltran had something like 32/97 first season at Busch, "replacing" Albert.

Arencibia is going to rake at Arlington for that price. I love it, Daniels.

Choo to Detroit, Texas, or Boston.

I find Napoli's deal to be fairly favorable. The length and money committed. Not too shabby, Cherington.

Nate McLouth is a National. 2 year/$10.75 million dollar deal with an option for a third year. Gives us depth for the inevitable Werth/Harper injury.

im gettin tickets for that mariners series and i'm bringing rolls of pennies to throw at their second basemen, he seems to be hard up for cash .... that motherf**ker ......

still salty ....

Arencibia will be a decent option as a backup catcher. But he isn't going to "rake". Toronto's park is more favourable to right handed hr hitters than Arlington. And JPA could be playing in a little league park, he can't rake k'ing 30% of the time.

I can't wait til Big Papi pimps one at Yankee Stadium and McCann gets butthurt about it

Doc is retiring. Damn shame he retires without a ring :smh:

Torre, La Russa & Cox make the Hall.

For some reason, George doesn't

Sad to hear Roy Halladay is hanging it up.  Never was really a fan of the teams he played for, but I was always a fan of his.  One of the best pitchers of this generation.  Sad to see him go.

Sad to see Doc retire but glad that he did. It was brutal watching him pitch last year. In my book he's a sure fire hall of famer.

He was quoted as saying he "couldn't give what I wanted to anymore". Much respect for him realizing it was just his time to hang it up, and bowed out.

Shame he couldn't get a ring when things were in place with the Phillies, but he was a great to watch the past decade.

Same here. But he sounds like he just broke down badly this year. Not just the shoulder.

First ballot HOF'er. That's going to be an interesting case.

Can't believe Halladay is gone just like that. :frown:

Was a pleasure to watch him work.

I'll need time to think about his Hall candidacy tho.
