A 28 year old Trout is not gonna get that 10 year 300 mill though. Its crazy how Arod was able to swindle his way into two different 250+mill contracts in his career

If his career keeps going the way it has been he'll easily get a 10 year deal when its done, age doesn't matter what it comes to these things. He'll be in his prime.

A Rod was going to hit over 800 home runs, and be the person to do that *without* using banned substances.

How many years did Trout have left? 2 or 3? I would have waited and got that HUGE payday. I think he'll get paid after this contract but not as much. People will see the Pujols, Cano and Miguel deal end in disaster. Detroit already saw what a mistake Prince Fielder's deal was.

Trout plays like a crazy person. His career could be over tomorrow. I'm fine with the risk-prevention kind of contract for now.
If he makes it, he is still getting another nine figures again when this one is up.
