At least the dodgers won't struggle on Wednesday

The bright is that the way the recovery is now, we can probably see him around this same time next year.

We're gonna probably have to add Martin Perez to the list for TJS as well soon :smh:

Weiters too even though he's only a catcher. They're going to wait and see if he can throw or not by July 1st.

Mike Olt with another opposite field home run.

Kid is hitting like a buck eighty, but when he contacts, 8 bombs already. Leads the team in homers and RBI, and not even sniffin the Mendoza.

Has a Rob Deer vibe to him. Hit 30+ homers and .220

Sucks about Fernandez. These days, it doesn't seem like career's really start until after a young pitcher goes the requisite Tommy John Surgery.

Off the top: Strasburg, Pineda, most likely Fernandez now.

Of course. How soon I forget.

But yeah....It's ridiculous. Every new stud that comes up you have to hold your breath, but then it happens and it's almost a relief to get it out of the way. Sad, but true.

The A's lost their 3/4 starters in training camp this year to Tommy John. Not as serious a blow as it is to lose an ace for sure, but still crappy news.

Still amazed at Oakland's pipeline of pitchers. It's been like that for over a decade. Unreal.

Pitching man, the arm just ain't meant to bear that load.

The crazy thing is how guys like Verlander never get hurt. His arm is a gift from the gods.

-Compensatory picks from being unable to re-sign their players
-pitcher's ballpark
-great scouting

Good call with the compensatory picks. Never really thought about that before. They certainly do know what they're doing in that scouting department though. That's for damn sure.

And they've always been extremely good at capitalizing on the value of pitchers they know having benefited more from the Coliseum than others.

Why did the Twins wear their blue road jersey's with 'Minnesota' on the front at home tonight against the Red Sox?

seems odd to me...i know teams have alt. jerseys but this i don't recall seeing very often

LSU baseball beats Northwestern State, 27-0.

Oh yeah, they also threw a no-hitter in win.

Northwestern State usually doesn't have a bad squad lol

I'm assuming they just saved arms for the last weekend series this week cause they knew they were going to lose anyways
