Not a sox fan so just throwing out a theory here:

Doctoring the baseball means you don't have to be as fine with fastball location cause you'll get outs from movement.

Not doctoring the baseball means he has to locate better, but he's scared of throwing the ball in the zone cause he'll get hit hard lol

Just a possible thought, but regardless, it's crazy how he was basically one if the best pitchers in baseball till he got hurt last year.
 
The only team with a worse slugging percentage in May than the Nats is the Royals :smh:

Giancarlo Stanton has more extra base hits in 4 innings than Jayson Werth has in his last 90 ABs.

Braves fans should be embarrassed about the turnout at Turner Field today. Even the '09 Nationals had more home town supporters in the crowd when the Sox came to town than Atlanta did today.
