Backswing during his at bat hit our catcher on the back of the head (this happened twice, he didn't apologize either time) and knocked him out of the game. Later he flung his bat into the infield after getting out.

I THINK all that is accurate, lol. I've been keeping up today with Twitter.
Yep, wonder how many games Manny is gonna get suspended for.

BTW: 15 up, 15 down for Jordan Zimmermann in San Diego. 7 K's. :nerd:

Manny's not getting suspended. No way to prove that he was "intentionally" throwing the bat.

July 18 can't come soon enough. Hopefully the O's will be more than a few games over .500

There's never anyway to prove that pitchers are throwing at guys intentionally either, and they get suspended all the time (albeit, it's usually after warnings are issued). I'd be shocked if he doesn't get at least 1 game.

Machado is gonna get suspended. Probably need to set a huge precedent that you can't be throwing a bat at anyone.

@brianmctaggart: Get this: The Astros score 14 runs on 13 hits in a lineup that had five players hitting under .193.

again...you can't prove that he was throwing the bat. If he was actually going to throw the bat, he would have done so like:

The bat "slipping" is a valid excuse, IMO.

 no way he would've done it like that! Not in this day and age.

From my point of view:
1. The ball was past him when he swung.
2. He wasn't watching the bat like most hitters do when they "accidentally" let it slip, he was staring right at the pitcher.

Idk if he'll get suspended, I think he should, but it's pretty obvious he was throwing the bat. Orioles broadcasters said it too.

Oh, I definitely think there was intent behind the bat "slip," but it's hard to prove.

Watching Tigers and Red Sox now..Anibal Sanchez is always fun to watch pitch..

Too bad John Kruk is announcing the game..thinks he knows everything

I liked Machado before this series, but his actions were ridiculous. I don't know if it is because he is young or hanging out with Arod too much, but he seems like a little brat.

What happened Friday happened, but then you swing the bat and hit the catcher in the head and can't acknowledge it at all? Then get thrown at because you deserve it and try to throw the bat at the pitcher? :smh:

He is young and I hope the kid learns because he is very talented.

I have tickets to that series in July but I won't be able to make it anymore. Damn

Pete ******* Kozma

And yeah, I agree it's hard to prove. Cause honestly it could've been a slip, I'm not in his head and I don't know what he's thinking but it looked pretty blatant from the video.
