I don't mind that at all, but I do mind the two-balls-on-the-field, rally-killing play that was completely ignored.

Felix with his 15th consecutive game of at least 7 innings pitched and 2 or less earned runs. Longest such streak of all-time.

May 12th was the last time he went less than 7 innings. That is also the last time he gave up more than 2 ER's. :wow:

On a side note, the A's are the only team to get more than 10 hits on Felix in a game this year. :pimp:

And they still lost. :smh:

Javier Baez 0-5 with 3K's in his debut. Faced 5 pitchers in 6 at bats.

6th at bat? Opposite field BOMB in the 12th to win it.:pimp:

If the Nats are fortunate enough to make the playoffs, I don't see them going far. Not a single impact bat on this team. Rendon is the closest thing to it.

Blue Jays = light work

Just take 2/3....we all know the O's never sweep LOL.

Pitchers who induced the most swings and misses Tuesday:

C. Kershaw (16)

D. Smyly (14)

J. Nelson (14)

C. Carrasco (13)

T. Lincecum (12)

Read that the O's are giving a bunch of different sets of signs from catcher to pitcher. They dont want to take any chances with the Blue Jays and their rep for sign stealing.

At a workshop now and I'll post more stuff on it when i get home. It's really interesting...

Major League teams should have different sets of signs in place regardless.  If a team's signs are remedial enough to be picked, they deserve to be.

But the way AZ acted isn't irrelevant. Bucs will just have to try to overcome. I'm just glad they are starting to be competitive year after year

The diamondbacks have had a track record of dirty over the past season or two.

That intentionally drilling a player stuff rubs me the wrong way though.

Maybe its od, but I wouldn't mind seeing a batter charge the mound and drill the pitcher with his bat if he gets intentionally beaned.

Has that ever happened before btw?

See half of their roster now. All underwhelming.

Until they go out and spend more $$ they will always be looking at 2/3 third place in that division. They really should have tried to make a deal at the deadline.

You are saying that you wouldnt mind seeing a batter charge the mound and hit the pitcher with the bat like he was hitting a ball?  SMH.

Ridiculous.  You ***** and moan about how intentionally drilling a hitter has no business in baseball and then you say this?

A few years ago José Offerman went after the picker with his bat but it was during a Independent league game. I think he ended up getting charged with assault and the catcher ended up suing him too.

Julio Teheran (5 ER thru 4 IP in Seattle today) has now allowed 38 ER in 82 1/3 IP on the road this season. 13 ER in 79 IP at home. #MLB

Trust me, I get it...however, there has been something sketchy going on w/ the Blue Jays since 2011 regarding them stealing signs.

I just found this interesting (from the O's MB)

The game in Toronto on 4/23 they jumped all over Tillman for 6 runs in the second inning. They showed a shot of Buck and Russell in the dugout after the inning and it seemed they were looking out in the outfield for something/ someone. The next day Norris gave up 3 runs in the second inning and in the post game interview Norris said they switched to night signs from the 4th inning on. IMO, something is definitely going on with the Jays and signs.

Well, being in the playoff hunt, the Orioles have decided to do something about it. The O's are now giving not just multiple signs from the catcher, but an extra set of signs before the traditional set, WITH NOBODY ON BASE!

The obvious question is why did it take so long for them to do this?

Going to be interesting to see what happens tonight/tomorrow....IF the O's wash the Jays and actually sweep, maaaaybe, just maybe there might be something to it. The conspiracy theorist in me might come out lol

Torii Hunter once threw the ball back at the pitcher. Close enough?
